Villa el Lucero is a splendid property situated at the top of a hill, in Pago Benamar, a beautiful area outside the old Andalusian village of Torrox. Overlooking a vast landscape, at 434m above sea level, the house offers a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view over the Mediterranean sea, the villages of Torrox, Nerja and Frigiliana, the plantations-rich coastal valleys from the Axarquia and the magnificent Sierra de Tejeda y Almijara, with its impressive summits some of which exceed 2000 metres.



The house was built recently by a couple of nature lovers who have put all their efforts into sharing their passion for this region. The house now stands proudly at the junction of two worlds: sea and mountain, that can be admired from either side of the hill and from all the windows in the house.

Remarks: Villa el Lucero can be reached via an asphalt mountain road with a number of bends. The road does not present any danger; it can be and is used daily by all types of vehicles, however we do not recommend the property to people who do not like driving in mountainous areas.

UNIQUE SCENARY: It is the coastal part of Sierra de Tejedo and Almijara, an ancient mountain range offering spectacular landscapes. In contrast with the rest of the Costa del Sol it was not spoiled by mass tourism: towns and villages have kept their original charm while several Nature Reserves are actively preserving its unique landscapes, fauna and flora.
MILDEST CLIMATE IN EUROPE: Facing the South while being protected from northern climate by the Sierra Nevada (2nd highest mountain in Europe), the area enjoys a unique micro-climate - hence 'Costa Tropical'. Therefore a wide variety of exotic plants are cultivated here, such as the delicious ?chirimoya?, a tropical fruit which grows nowhere else in Europe.

The location is ideal for anyone wanting to discover Andalucia. While staying on the cost, one is at reasonable driving distance from all most famous sites: Granada - El Alhambra, Sevilla.
