Tiled entrance courtyard with mature plum and newly planted kumquat and lemon trees, in gravelled beds set with flowering shrubs and a cascading herb garden.
Beautiful pool enclosure with shady gazebo and barbecue area for al-fresco poolside dining.
Solid timber sun loungers and poolside bathroom enhances the relaxed leisure area
Villa Azzurra is located in a quiet location in Torre san Gennaro, a typical Puglian holiday village, benefiting from seafront ice cream parlours,cafes, shops, restaurants and pizzeria.
Torre san Gennaro also has a first-aid centre,supermarket, butchers (in season) and a year round fresh bakery, and fresh fish landed daily in the harbour are sold at the quayside and fismongers.
Villa Azzurra is within 5 minutes walking distance from sandy uncommercialised beaches along Torre san Gennaro beachfront leading south to Lido Preseppe, or, just a few minutes walk in the other direction leads one to Campo di Mare where there are more developed lidos, with parasols and beach recliners for hire, and the convenience of beach bars and vendors selling fresh food and typical local snacks.
Campo di Mare has 5 sheltered protected bays with shallow waters and sandy beaches, ideal for small children.
Complimentary beachside showers provide the comfort of washing off sea water or sun creams before returned from a day at the beach.
25% deposit required to secure your booking with the balance payable 12 weeks before holiday start date. £300 OR €400 refundable security deposit payable.. this is returned following a satisfactory check out.
A welcome basket, all bed linen, and also hand, shower and pool towels are included in the rental rates.

Air-conditioned Villa Azzurra has been recently completely restructured and refurbished , and sleeps up to 5
Bedroom 1 is equipped with ceiling fan, a king size bed, and has ample storage with solid wood bedside lockers, wardrobe and drawer unit.
Bedroom 2 also has a ceiling fan and a solid antique pine bedside drawer unit, and wardrobe storage.
Shuttered windows in both bedrooms overlook the front gardens.
Bedroom 2 has the option of a double, twin or even triple single bed configuration. (for triple single option, one standard single is replaced with a bunk bed unit)
Modern fully tiled bathroom with integrated massage shower, toilet, sink, bidet, and vanity mirror and has plentiful towel storage.
Kitchen is fully fitted and excellently appointed with all necessities and dining facilities for homemade meals enjoyed in.
The living area has solid wood and leather sofa and armchairs, with DVD/CD player, large wall-mounted flatscreen TV with satellite.
A selection of DVDs are provided on arrival, or choose from our DVD library list with over 300 titles available.
The house is air-conditioned, boasts a solid wood stove for cosy winter breaks and benefits from modern fitted insect screens on all windows and doors. Free Wifi is installed for pur guests
Books, games and jig-saws are also available.

Entering the front gate to Azzurra finds one in a walled tiled entrance, with a mature pear tree for you to help yourself to the sun-ripened fruit in season. Indulge in the aroma of freshly picked herbs from the cascading herb garden.
Landscaped garden contains newly planted lemon, kumquat and palm trees in graveled beds containing flowering shrubs and bougainvillea.
A bay hedging screens the shady alfresco dining area and barbecue beside the sparkling waters of the private pool.
Villa Azzurra is the perfect place to spend long lazy days relaxing poolside on the cushioned timber sun-loungers, or to relax with a glass of wine on a warm, balmy evening by the illuminated pool and subdued garden lighting after a day exploring the beautiful Salento and Puglian regions.

We have just returned from our 3rd stay at Villa Azzurra and we have booked to go again next year already. I can’t rate the villa highly enough. It has everything you need and the pool is amazing. It takes just 10 minutes to walk to the village of Torre san Gennaro and the beach. We don’t bother hiring a car as we can get everything we need from the small supermarket and bakery. We eat out every evening at the local restaurants which are excellent and so reasonable. This is the real Italy and not commercialised in the slightest! Be prepared to use a translation App if you can’t speak Italian as not a lot of English is spoken in the village. Richard and Noirin are superb hosts who will go above and beyond to make your holiday go as smoothly as possible. With the uncertainty of our trip due to COVID-19, they were amazingly understanding and reassuring. We cannot wait to go again next year.

The last thing that they then want to do is go shopping, so we always ensure that the welcome basket and fridge contains enough for an evening meal, breakfast and even lunch the next day - including wine and beer to help our guests unwind the evening of their arrival.
