Description

The studio is a compact and cosy double, well presented and comfortable room in the town centre but on a tree lined road. It is self catering and conveniently close to all amenities and transport links with off road parking for one car and a small kitchenette with kettle, microwave, small fridge and compact shower room. It is joined to a family home but has its own entrance. It has everything you need for a good base for exploring etc. The cooking area has limited space so there is a fold up additional table if required. There is a small private patio area in the front garden near to your room where you can also sit with patio chairs outside the room for your use you can also park your car here if you wish. The room has a pleasant outlook onto the stone walled garden. Smoking is allowed outside in the garden. A Small to medium sized dog is welcome . Children over 3 are welcome too if you don't mind them sharing your bed. Please note this room is best suited to guests who are looking for a base to stay and prefer to eat out or alfresco in the garden. There is a bbq provided from May 2017 for your sole use.

You don't really need a car as everything is nearby however if you do bring a car parking is available on reservation.

Getting around

You can walk everywhere from here. There is a 34 bus to st marychurch at the end of the road and several buses to paignton Newton Abbott Brixham totnes Plymouth 2 mins away. The train is Torre or Torquay which are 15 mins walk. There are plenty of taxis.

House rules

suitable for kids over 5 sharing a bed with parents, a small dog is welcome and smoking is fine outside. There is a key safe so flexible check in and freedom to come and go when you please. Space in front garden to sit and relax and store bikes etc. There is off road parking but I am very close to the town so transport is optional.

“Perfect base”

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. We found the owners helpful and they have a good knowledge of the area and where to visit and eat. We took full advantage of the location, walked into the town, used the ferries to get places. It is the perfect base for having a relaxing holiday. Would happily come back and stay another time. Thank you for your hospitality.

“Very small”

Ideal location for visiting the centre of torquay. The room is very small. So if you plan on cooking a meal good luck! Owners are very friendly and helpful. Only the small size marks it down. Otherwise its perfect if you just want a place to crash at the end of the day!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
