"Lovely location, great apartment, warm welcome"
A spacious one-bed apartment with everything you'd need on holiday in a very quiet village, off the beaten track. Perfect location for walks along the SW Coastal path, which runs virtually past the front door, with a really nice pub/restaurant (actually more of the latter) next door. And a beach (coarse red sand, down 130-odd steps) also on the doorstep.

"perfect peace in lovely setting"
I went with my daughter to chill out after my very tiring book tour. It would be the perfect place to sit and write another book, although I just enjoyed doing as little as possible. Cassie, the owner, is delightful and so helpful. We didn't have a car and it wasn't a problem as we could get the hourly bus to Torquay to shop. We loved the walking, the nearby beach and the blissful tranquility of the area. Devon is such a friendly place and Torquay is a lovely town. But we fell in love with Maidencombe and Penny Farthing: perfect for a couple, a single person, or a two people, with one sleeping in the living room. I wish we'd had another week.
