Description from owner

Description

Four Coysh Square offers any family, including grandma a warm homely feeling cottage for the duration of their stay. This property, although smart from the outside, doesn't reflect it's inner warmth and so should be tried before dismissed as it has a lot of love and happiness to give to all that visit.

The sleeping arrangements are a main with a king size bed, the next has two singles and the third another single. The only bathroom is also upstairs but has a bath and a separate shower.

The living space downstairs is fairly open plan, with french windows to the secluded decking area and the utility room. The living room is fronted by a small conservatory and the main area has an open fire.

Further details

Changeover day is Saturday with departures before 10am and arrivals after 2pm. Arrival times are arranged with Adina, at the time of booking, to ensure all guests are greeted and introduced to the cottage.

Location description from owner

The England region

Devon is famous for its beautiful countryside and beaches and it's very easy to find something for everyone. Topsham is the perfect place to explore Devon from as it is on the Exe estuary and only one mile from the outskirts of the historic city of Exeter with its cathedral, Dartmoor approximately 20 minutes away by car and the closest beaches are 20 minutes with at least half a dozen more only 30/45 minutes away.

Topsham

Topsham is on the Exe estuary and is the old port town for Exeter and as such is not only on the river, but also boasts some amazing architecture, influenced by its strong connections with the Netherlands.

The town is now predominantly a pleasure sailing port, famous for its many pubs (previously known as the 'Topsham Ten') and restaurants, and an antiques centre.

There are many facilities in the town: bowling green, during the summer a heated outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, a children's playground and skateboard park. Other activities which are only a stones throw away are; walking, cylcling - there is a new cycle path that follows the estuary from Exmouth, through Topsham to Exeter), sailing, windsurfing, kite-surfing, canoeing, golf, bird watching (the Exe estuary is a famous protected bird sanctuary), beaches and much more.

The historic city of Exeter with it's cathedral is a 15 minute journey away and Dartmoor approximately 20 minutes by car, the closest beaches are within 20 minutes with at least half a dozen more only 30/45 minutes away.

“Very homely cottage”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2016

A lovely cottage with a homely feeling as soon as you enter. Adina greeted us with a warm welcome. Homemade scones jam and cream On arrival were delicious also a bottle of chilled wine went down well ! Bus and train are a short distance away . We didn't use our car at all. An ideal place to stay . Hope to return again in the near future .

“Highly recommended”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2013

Great little cottage, conveniently located within the town and nearby estuary. The train station is within easy walk for trips to Exeter and beyond. The cottage is well equiped , clean and very comforatble. Adina was very helpful and arranged broadband for us and we had everything we needed. We slept well, the location is peaceful and quiet. The town of Topsham is a great place to staywith lovely cafes, restaurants and for walking . We would not hesitate in recommending this to others.
