Getting around

The house is located on one of Wexford's designated cycle routes, between Rosslare and Kilmore Quay. A lockable shed is included with the property for secure storage of bicycles. There is a pub and restaurant within easy walking distance, the beach, Tacumshane Lake and Our Lady's Island Lake can all be reached on foot, along with 3 of the sights on the Norman Way Heritage trail. Taxi and mini-bus hire are available in the area for nights on the town. Booking is essential for these services, please enquire for details before you arrive. There are no regular public transport services in the area, so a car really is the only way to see most of the sights!

Interaction with guest

I will personally meet you on arrival to show you around, show you how to work the hot water/heating and electricity meter, and answer any questions you may have. I live next door to the property, and am usually available to answer any questions you may have during your stay, or to loan you a cup of sugar!

“Great place for a group getaway”

The perfect spot for a large group (4 adults, 8 kids). The house was immaculate and ideal fit our group. Gavin couldn't have been more helpful.

Stayed at Millknock for a week in December with family as we were in Wexford for a wedding, the property was spotless throughout. It was freezing in December but the house was lovely and warm, it felt like home from the moment we walked through the door. The kitchen is the heart of the home, it is very well equipped and has a massive dining room table for everyone to gather round. There's plenty of seating in the living room as well to gather around the fire or TV. The house is in a beautiful area of Wexford, perfect for exploring the many attractions County Wexford has to offer, it's within walking distance (about half a mile) of a pub serving food (weekends only in the winter) The owner Gavin was very friendly and helpful too. Hoping to return at some point in the summer when we can enjoy the beautiful garden and the patio / BBQ area.

The house was perfect for us, very clean, lots of room for all of us and a lovely welcome. Had the weather been better the kids would have loved the garden. Nothing was too much trouble for Gavin and his family. The scones also went down well. :)

“Excellent holiday”

We stayed for a week at Millknock Farm with family; 4 children and 5 adults. The house was very clean upon arrival, the beds were comfy, the showers were great, everything was there that we needed. The scones, jam, butter and milk were a lovely welcome. The house is very peaceful and we felt very comfortable in it. The area is beautiful; lots to explore. We particularly enjoyed the Irish heritage centre, rosslare strand beach, rostoonstown beach and hook head lighthouse. I would return to the house and would recommend it.

“Lovely stay at Millknock farm”

We had a wonderful weekend at Millknock farm. The house and gardens are fabulous, so spacious and clean. The garden is huge with football and swings and slides, also a box of outdoor toys for the kids, they had a fantastic time in the garden. The garden and house are perfect for families and kids, so safe, stair gates at top and bottom of the stairs. The homemade scones on arrival with delicious jam went down a treat and we availed of more on our stay! Would highly recommend. Thank you so much to the owners, we will most definitely be back. This is our forth time at Millknock and as always it was spotlessly clean, excellent facilities, wonderful location and friendly welcome. Everything you could ask for In a large family holiday home. No doubt we will return!

I was very pleased with my choice as soon as I got there I knew it was going to work perfectly, everyone had their own space, kids had the TV room for games and puzzles as well as TV. There is a large kitchen with a huge dining room table and it was great to all cook together and laugh together and then share a meal together in the same room. I always find my family congregate in the kitchen helping or directing or tasting, BEST place to be. Everything was clean as a whistle and the house had every appliance and facility one could possibly need. Laura
