The apartment itself, is spacious and modern in its design and has been tastefully furnished throughout with all fittings being of the highest quality. The apartment has been equipped as a home and all the little extras make a big difference. On entering this ground floor apartment, you pass the fully equipped kitchen to your right and move into the main living areas. The kitchen's fitted units are accompanied by matching work surfaces, tiled splashbacks and stainless steel handles. Appliances include fridge/freezer, washing machine, oven, hob and hood and microwave. From the kitchen you enter the spacious and open plan lounge/dining area. The dining table seats 4, as does the lounge which has very comfortable leather sofas. The lounge has further benefit of TV with satellite and DVD for entertainment.

Access from the lounge can be gained through full width patio doors to a generously sized terrace which in turn leads out to the tropical pool area. The south facing terrace features a table and chairs to seat 4 as well as 4 sun loungers for further relaxation, and overlooks the pool area and Mediterenean Sea in the distance. Shade can be gained as required making the area being the perfect place for alfresco dining, relaxing, socialising and generally soaking up the warm Cyprus sunshine.

The property has 2 double sized bedrooms, both with fitted wardrobes. The master bedroom has a large double bed and en-suite facilities that includes large cubicle with shower, wc and w/h basin. The second bedroom has 2 single sized beds and close access to the central shower room.

Between the 2 bedrooms is the aforementioned luxurious and fully tiled shower room with shower, tray, wc and w/h basin.

The property is fully air-conditioned with ceiling fans having been fitted throughout. There are also electric background heaters for further comfort in Winter Evenings. Shutters and flyscreens are present on all windows, assisting privacy, security and keeping the apartment dark and cool as required. A supply of fresh drinking water is supplied to the apartment and the water is heated by solar panels.

''You asked for a response concerning our recent stay in the Megras Alexandros complex in Paphos, Cyrus. I'm happy to comply.

We were in the condo for a three months stay and enjoyed it thoroughly. The condo was just about perfect for our needs and any other requirements peculiar to our stay was easily sorted; minor bits only and to be expected given the lengthy residency. Other minor issues having to do with the condo were handled on-site by the resident property helper in a timely and efficient manner. The place was what it was claimed to be in the online advertisement; no negative surprises at all. And there were many positive surprises. Among these was the superb location so close to the old town and to so many of the historic sites, the waterfront road, shopping and so on. Further, the condo had a natural extension of the living area because it was on the first floor and the living room opened onto the pool deck; a plus in our view and one we used every day while there. The Cyprus sun cannot be over-estimated.

We found to management of the property to be efficiently handled and all business aspects of the let functioned perfectly.

Because we'd found a very good Mandarin restaurant, Jackie Ma's, close by on the Tomb of the Kings Road, the Chinese New Year was celebrated there with the equivalent of a mese, only Beijing style, taken with several Chinese families in a private room, spontaneously arranged . An excellent find and highly recommended. We found other wonderful restaurants, Greek to be sure, up in the mountain villages around Paphos. One of the most recommended is called Farmyard Restaurant in Kathikas, It's a scenic trip as well as a surprising nosh - the pork chops are as big as one's arm and grilled perfectly over charcoal, so go there hungry! Close by are several other Cypriot villages worth a day's visit.

Typically we spend at least several months in a new location in an attempt to avoid a Canadian winter, so it's unlikely we will return any time soon to Cyprus, but would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet time in the sun and comparative heat. Simply stated, we loved our stay there and could not be more pleased with the Megas Alexandros condo.

''We found the apartment at Megas Alexandros in the same lovely condition as when we stayed two years ago. Both grounds and pool very well maintained. 2. Location is great with easy access to Old Town and shops & bars in Tomb of the Kings Road. Bus stop a short walk but we were sorry the local supermarket had closed and that the bar opposite was not open. 3. For visitors who enjoy live music, we recommend Ben's (opposite the shopping mall) and Millennium in Coral Bay. Contact with the agents is excellent. A great service from Steven. A call to John about a minor problem resulted in him arriving within 20 minutes to fix it. We certainly intend to return to this apartment within the next 2 years.''

''Fabulous apartment, met all our needs and more. Sounds very sad I know but so nice to have somewhere that provides clean fluffy towels, clean immaculate bed linen and faultlessly spotless makes a great start to any holiday! The layout ideal for family of four, including great outdoor space. Perfect apartment location as at pool side, but large enough patio area that you can stay on your own property without having to try and bag a lounger, we only ever had one or two families at poolside at any one point in time, very quiet place, although those we did meet were very friendly and welcoming. The air con was brilliant, wifi connection was great, as well as speakers in both lounge and bedroom for iPhone connection which was very handy, could sit on our own patio with our own music. We took our own DVDs, however a substantial library of films available in apartment, which was great for the very hot afternoons with young kids who refuse to sleep in the day!

Great location, right on top of tomb of kings, ten min walk up the hill to local market, five min walk to local bus service that takes to anywhere!

There a fabulously friendly restaurant called Karlinas only five min walk away, both ourselves and the kids loved the food the staff and the happy friendly atmosphere. Coral bay beach was a quick bus or taxi journey away, it was well equipped with umbrellas and loungers (about €7 for day), cafe, showers etc. We hired a car for two days, took a trip up mountains to Troodos square and further over to Kykkos Monastery which were both well worth the effort. Staying local to apartment both Tomb of Kings and Mosaics World Heritage sites (in Harbour) are absolute must do days out!

We were well informed of all requirements by the agent, payments etc and felt no question would go unanswered, always warm friendly response to our requests/enquiries. Locally, John was warm and friendly without being overbearing, very approachable helpful and his number is on a fridge magnet which is a great idea! He made himself known on day one, to check we were ok then left us to get in with our holiday being very clear we could call him anytime for anything. Seen him around apartments on a couple of occasions and he was always ready with a wave and a smile. Local taxi was booked via yourselves for airport pick up and return, these were both on time, good prices and clean friendly taxis and drivers.

Nothing to suggest to improve, we had a fabulous time and enjoyed our two weeks immensely. The only thing we hadn't realised, that you may bring to first timers attention is the use of UK plugs? A small point I know but saves people taking adapters unnecessarily as we did! We knew they drive on the left as in UK but didn't know about three pin plugs!''

"Very clean modern and well equipped. Few minutes walk to the bus stop which takes you to coral bay and the harbour. Easily walkable to the main restaurants and bars! We enjoyed the tomb of the kings, there is no shade here so cover up!! We also thought Karlinas restaurant was extremely good, very friendly and great food. Excellent service from LetsRentOnline, thank you for all the help. John was great even allowing us to check out later as we had a night flight. It was all great..''

The Paphos District

Paphos combines ancient history with a cosmopolitan, modern tourist resort. The area by the coast is known as Kato Paphos and boasts a pretty little harbour and plenty of open air cafes and bars. Further inland is the aforementioned old town of Paphos, known by the locals as Ktima. With its narrow streets, hustle and bustle, covered market and typically Cypriot atmosphere, it is well worth a visit. As a consequence, Paphos is on UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage list.

Cyprus is famous as the birth place of the goddess Aphrodite, Venus in Roman mythology. She is known as the Ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty. Legend says that she emerged from the sea at Aphrodite’s Rock in a surge of sea foam.

Tomb of the Kings

This ideally situated holiday apartment is set in an enviable position , just off one of the main thoroughfares in Kato Paphos. It is within easy walking distance of the essential amenities at Tomb of The Kings Road and the seafront, as well as being only a 10 minute walk to the famous 'Old Town' of Paphos where you will find the municipal markets as well as a large selection of shops, cafes restaurants and other points of interest. There is a small Taverna/Bar called Apanemo just outside the development where you will receive a warm welcome from the owner. Popular restaurants like Olivetos, Fat Mamas, Artio Brasserrie, Youkoso and many more are within short walking distance.

Things to do in the area include Paphos Bird Park, reptile park, horse riding, Akamas Peninsular & Lara Nature Reserve, hiking/walking, buggy safaris, 4 x 4 safaris, sea caves area, sailing and many more. Amusement and water parks in Paphos are also easily accessible from Coral Bay as are numerous archaeological ruins such as the Tombs of the Kings.

"Lovely sunshine holiday apartment"

The apartment is modern and well looked after. Close to the bars restaurants and bus stops. Would highly recommend this apartment if you are looking for something more peaceful than a hotel around Paphos.

"Excellent ever stayed in."

If you want a totally wonderful property to stay in where you have a large clean and well looked after apartment then this is the one for you. We were totally surprised with this apartment. When you book online you expect a degree of what you see online is not always what you get......not in this case. It was wonderful. I would definately recommend this apartment.
