At the end of the garden, 100 meters below, the river Baca meanders its way through the valley. You can take a steep walk down through the forest to the Baca River .(only recommended for the fit and adventurous as the decline is very steep) or you can drive there in about 5 minutes

Mountain biking, horse riding hiking, climbing, trekking and fishing are all possible in the immediate area.

Grahovo is a small, sleepy, rural village surrounded by mountains and forestry. The village was the chosen filming destination for the first Slovene movie " na svoji Zemlji- on our land" . The movie tells the story of rural Slovenia during the occupation of WWII.This area remains unspoiled today and when you look at photos and the movie from the late 1940's , its hard to believe how little has changed. As regards to things to do in the Baca and Soca Valleys, well, the list is long....paragliding, fly fishing (Slovenia is world famous for its paragliding and fly fishing) canoeing, white water rafting, mountain biking, trekking, hiking and hunting to name a few. If you are less adventurous, this area is steeped in history from the 1st and 2nd World Wars, there are many local walks where you can explore bunkers and visit monuments. You can visit Slovenia's widest tree in the nearby village of Rut. Take more relaxing walks near the house or simply relax in the garden and take in the view. However you choose to spend your time, you are guaranteed to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, flora and fauna of this beautiful area.
