This lovely newly decorated 3rd floor apartment sits within a traditional Edinburgh tenement. The apartment is located on Grindlay Street, just behind the Usher Hall, Lyceum Theatre and the Traverse Theatre and only a 1 minute walk from Castle Terrace, location of the famous weekly Farmers Market. Princes Street is only a 5 minute walk away and the top of the Royal Mile and entrance to the Castle as well as the Grassmarket are only a 5 to 10 minute walk away. The whole of Edinburgh's finest on your doorstep!
The apartment has three bedrooms, a lounge with Freeview tv and two comfortable sofa/daybeds, a large dining kitchen and a modern newly renovated walk-in shower room. It offers sleeping arrangements for 6, plus 2 extra on the two full size single daybed sofas in the living room. There is also free Wifi available.
After a busy day exploring relax watching tv in the living room, or gather around the large dining table in the dining kitchen for a delicious home-cooked meal or a well deserved take-away.
Then put your head to rest in the double bedroom, queen size bedroom or twin bedroom, offering sleeping for 6 people. Two more guests can sleep on the full adult size single day beds in the lounge. The stunning modern bathroom has been fitted with a walk-in shower, wash basin, wc and heated towel rail.
Children are very welcome to come and stay. Toys, books and games are provided and a travel cot and high chair can be supplied by prior arrangement. There is a lovely play park nearby at West Princes Street gardens (5 minute walk) and Edinburgh has a wealth of activities and attractions to keep the little ones amused.
This is a strictly non-smoking apartment and does not allow pets. As it is in a residential building we do not allow parties (including stag and hen parties).
Due to the apartment being on the 3rd floor with no lift, the apartment may be less suitable for guests with mobility problems.
Shopping and dining:
There are a number of small supermarkets and corner shops nearby, including a Scotmid Coop and Tesco express. Grindlay street and the surrounding area has no shortage of restaurants, including Jimmy Chung's Chinese buffet restaurant, Nando's and the apartment owner's Japanese restaurant YummiTori next to the Filmhouse cinema on Lothian Road.
Parking and transport:
The apartment is right in the centre of Edinburgh, so a car is not needed. However, if you decide to bring your car please note that Grindlay Street has permit-holders only parking. Tthere is paid parking round the corner. There is also a large parking garage on Castle Terrace, only a 1 minute walk away. You need to pay to park between 8.30am and 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday. Outwith these hours parking is free (including on Sundays).
The nr. 100 airport bus stops on Princes Street. From there it is only a 5 minute walk to the apartment. The nr. 35 Lothian bus service running from the airport to Ocean Terminal, also stops a 5 minute walk away.
Strictly NO parties of any kind and/or stag and hen nights/weekends!
As the apartment is in a residential building, we expect guests to be quiet and respectful to our neighbours at all times. They are not on holiday and do not wish to be disturbed by our guests making noise/ringing their doorbell etc.

"Gorgeous apartment in the middle of all the action"
This apartment was excellent value and Annette is an exceptionally nice host. The place was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and located really close to the main areas in the old town of Edinburgh. I would highly recommend this property to a group of friends going on a holiday to Edinburgh.

"Cracking apartment - clean and modern"
The apartment is great value for the number of people it can hold. It's clean, modern and Annette was very pleasant and kind enough to let us check out later than originally agreed. Highly recommended.
