No. 4 Woodbank is a beautiful 19th Century grit stone cottage situated just off A6033 Rochdale Road by the side of Rochdale canal. It is located between Todmorden and Littleborough and is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. Its tranquil and picturesque setting is perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all.

The cottage is comfortably furnished and fully equipped for 2 people with central heating, Wi-Fi, TV (with free view) and a DVD player. Downstairs comprises of a cosy living area which includes kitchen, dining table & chairs and sofa in front of the electric fireplace. Upstairs is a double bed in the bedroom and walk in shower bathroom. The cottage has a large amount of traditional features and character.

There are numerous nice pubs / restaurants within a short distance from the property.

There are various walks and mountain biking routes right from the doorstep so it is ideal for walkers and mountain biking enthusiast alike. Off road parking is available and we can offer safe storage of bikes along with an outside cleaning area.

Todmorden (3 miles away) is a small market town located in the heart of the Pennines. It is blessed with stunning scenery, magnificent architecture, a diverse range of shops and a thriving art community ensuring that it has plenty to offer any visitor. Situated at the meeting point of three steep valleys, Todmorden is ideal for walking, mountain biking, bird watching, horse riding and much more.

Littleborough (3 miles away) is nestled in the foothills of south Pennines and its stone-built town centre is a designated conservation area because of its special architectural qualities. Its main tourist attraction is Hollingworth Lake where rowing, sailing and wind surfing all take place.

Slightly further afield Hebden Bridge (8 miles away) is a popular tourist destination with its artisan shops, inspiring galleries, organic pavement cafes and charming picture house. Hebden Bridge’s cobbled lanes quickly give way to glorious Yorkshire countryside. The nearby Hardcastle Crags, owned by the National Trust, are a must-visit boasting a beautiful wooded valley complete with tumbling streams and a carpet of bluebells in spring.

Please note we do accept well behaved and small animals but they must not sleep on the furniture, and are well behaved if left in the property for a long period of time.

We live directly next to the property, as we work full time we aren't there to let the guests in. However we have a key lock so there is no waiting for us to arrive home. We are contactable 24 hours a day for any issues that may arise. Also if anyone requires any information about places to go near by we are happy to help.

“Beautiful scenery, lovely accommodation”

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage in a todmorden, it was clean and well prepared, and we thought that the basket received on entry containing wine, bread, butter, eggs and cookies was a kind and generous touch. The cottage is surrounded by the most beautiful canal side walks, and overall we had a lovely time exploring the local area with our lovely place to go back to at night!!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Clare (the owner) a message.

If Clare (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
