Description

REAL Log home located 9.5 miles to Boone, 1.5 miles to The New River and Railroad Grade. This REAL log home is close enough to town but far enough to feel like you're away from the hustle and bustle of Boone. Close to Elk knob for hiking and The New River for fishing tubing canoeing and kayaking. Only 14 miles to Appalachian ski resort.

Come disconnect from it all and stay in a REAL log home! We added a deck and a fire pit in 2016 on the ground floor to enjoy the outdoors even more! We also updated our Master Bath vanity and installed Granite counter tops. Our Log home is close to The New River (1 mile), Boone (9 miles), and not too far from West Jefferson (12 miles) . We are about 1.5 miles from the Todd General Store, River Girl Fishing Co., Railroad Grade and The New River. The cabin is furnished with all upscale furniture, appliances, linens, and TV's. This home away from home will be the best get away you have ever had. Just bring your suitcase and tooth brush, everything else is provided. We also have done several upgrades since completing the cabin. We paved our entire driveway, added a lower deck, made the basement shower bigger, and put in full slab granite on the kitchen counter top and top of the line kitchen faucet.

Our log home has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a Pack N Play for the little one to sleep and play in, a toddler bed and crib if requested, a feeding chair and gates to keep your little one safe. Each level of the home has a full bathroom. The wraparound porch with direct pipe gas bar-b-q and porch swing will let you and your family enjoy the breathtaking mountain views and mountain fresh air.

In the finished walk out basement there is a day bed with trundle that also sleeps 2 with a full bathroom. The laundry room is located also in the basement with top of the line HE washer and dryer. You will also find the play room in the basement with a Dart board, a foosball table and a brand new Ping Pong table (09/2018). The different games will supply your family with hours of entertainment. Next to the play room there is a bistro table that sits 4. We call this area the 'Wine Sipping Area'. This area is perfect for adults to disconnect from it all and have a good time with family and friends. Once you step out of the basement we added a deck on the ground level.

The spiral staircase takes you up to the main level of the house (gate for the little one not to go downstairs provided) where you will find 2 full bedrooms, a full bathroom, a dining room that sits up to 10 people, living room, and recently updated granite counter kitchen with top of the line stainless steel appliances. In the living room you'll find a real wood burning fireplace as the main attraction and a 60" TV and DVD player with surround sound. The first bedroom in the main level has a queen size bed, dresser and night stand. The second bedroom room has a 2 twin size beds,a chest of drawers and a Wii for the kids to play.

The master bedroom/bathroom suite and loft are located on the 3rd level of the home. The master suite has a 42" flat screen TV and a king size bed. The master bathroom has a claw foot tub, his and her sinks, and a shower with 2 shower heads. One shower head comes from the ceiling like a cool mountain rain shower. The loft has a mission style desk with WiFi available, and a convertible twin sleeper. All linens are supplied and are all bleached and sanitized after every renter!

Come and enjoy everything that our area has to offer. We have all 4 seasons!! In the spring come and bike Railroad Grade (~1 mile away) , canoe (New River ~1 mile away), hike, cave, zipline, and do white water rafting. In the summer come and drift down our river with inner tubes (3 provided in the home). In the Fall come see our spectacular Fall colors. In the winter you'll enjoy all the winter sports, such as.. skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, ice skating and snow shoeing in any of the four local ski resorts that are near by. Come see the incredible views on Grandfather mountain or do some shopping in Beautiful Blowing Rock, Boone, Banner Elk and West Jefferson.
