Oakfield Cottage, Tobermory, Isle of Mull is converted from part of Oakfield, an impressive Victorian property located in upper Tobermory. Oakfield Cottage is a very well established (1996) self catering property with many returning guests. It is in a quiet location at the end of a no through road yet it is only a short walk to Tobermory main street and all the local amenities. The nearest restaurants are less than five minutes walk away.
On the ground floor: a large comfortable lounge with television, DVD player and stereo, a fitted kitchen with cooker, fridge with freezer space and a microwave oven, on this floor there is also a bath room with over bath shower
On the upper floor: a double bedroom, a twin bedroom
A cot, high chair, folding bed side and / or stair gates can be supplied if required.
Guests at Oakfield Cottage have full use of a large, well maintained garden which has spectacular views towards Calve Island in Tobermory Bay and the Sound of Mull. The cottage has private off street parking within the grounds. Oakfield Cottage is ideal for adults and children alike, the garden has picnic tables and garden seats and a large play area with swings and a climbing frame. Guests at Oakfield Cottage have an excellent view of the very busy bird feeders. Oakfield Cottage has a well stocked toy cupboard and a wide rage of books, DVDs, CDs and games for guests of all ages.
Prices at Oakfield Cottage include linen but not personal towels (unless by agreement with Jean & Alasdair) or electricity - the latter is charged for using £ coin meters so guests pay only for the electricity they use rather than an average across all guests. (Meter readings can be taken at the start and end of each stay so that these can be compared against the tariff to the actual amount paid. If for any reason guests paid too much the extra would be refunded) The cottage is very well insulated and double glazed.
If you find Oakfield Cottage booked for the dates you are interested in you might like to look at Darach Beag which is next door to Oakfield Cottage and is also owned by Jean and Alasdair Maclean. Darach Beag has a range of excellent 5* reviews and prices are determined by the number of guests. Darach Beag is also listed with Holiday Lettings.
Larger groups may choose to book both Oakfield Cottage and Darach Beag which are located next door to each other. This can give the option of booking for 12 adults and 2 babies.
