The Cornwall region
Blessed with a mild climate, North Cornwall has many sheltered coves and fabulous surfing beaches.
The South West coast path is alongside the cottage and enables walkers to see the most amazing coastline not always visible by car. The Camel Trail offers off road cycling and follows the old railway line from Bodmin to Padstow, you can hire bikes from several places along the trail. A fun day for all the family.
The famous Eden Project and Gardens of Heligan are within a 45 minute drive or you can catch a bus to these attractions from the village during the peak holiday period.
Beautiful Boscastle with it's fishing harbour is just a short drive away, again you can walk along the coast path or there are regular buses available. There are Golf courses within a 5 mile radius together with fishing lakes if required.
From Veronica Cottage you can walk to Tintagel Castle with it's famous connections to King Arthur. A place of legends. Joined to the mainland by a narrow neck of land the 13th century castle cared for by English Heritage can be explored and has spectacular views along the coastline.
The Old Post Office is an old Manor House in the centre of the village and owned by the National Trust. Again it is open to the public and well worth a visit. It is one of the most photographed buildings in Cornwall.
Trebarwith Strand with its surfing beach a must do for any budding surfers. Lessons are available for beginners.
Port Isaac with it's connections to Doc Martin is well worth a visit and Friday nights sat on the beach with a picnic basket, bottle of wine and a free concert by 'Fishermans Friends' has to be a highlight of anyone's holiday.
St Nectans Glen between Tintagel and Boscastle is filled with bluebells in the spring, follow the river to it's start and view the waterfall, an amazing sight as is the valley of the rocks.

"A gem of a place"
A delightful homely and comfortable cottage which has it's own beautiful sunny garden. Veronica cottage is set just on the edge of Tintagel with just an easy stroll to the village. Ideally located for taking in the beautiful Cornish coast and countryside. We could have quite easily have stayed near by as the cottage was so relaxing with it's sun drenched patio and private well tended garden. The cottage it's self was delightful with lots of charm and well equipped. We truly had a lovely holiday there and quite reluctant to leave, especially as we had befriended Mr Ginger the cat, he made it feel like home from home. Pam the owner was lovely and friendly, she made us feel really welcome. Pam gave us helpful advice as where to visit and places to eat. I would highly recommend a stay at Veronica cottage it's peaceful, charming, relaxing and friendly.

"An Ideal Location with all the Comforts of Home"
We arrived to find a warm clean and very cosy cottage. There were tea and biscuits on hand after our long journey which was very welcome. The Cottage was very well equipped and it was easy to settle in and make plans to enjoy our stay in this beautiful part on Cornwall. The coastal path is just over the road from the cottage and the walk to the Tintagel Castle and beyond to Boscastle was well worth the effort (although not for the faint hearted!). We also enjoyed our visit to The Old Post Office in the town centre which is now owned by the National Trust. It was an ideal location to visit the many beautiful seaside towns and quiet bays in the area. After a tiring day out it was good to be able to leave the car and stroll into the town for an evening meal at one of several hotels, restaurants and pubs serving a variety of food for all tastes. We enjoyed everything about our stay in Veronica Cottage and would certainly recommend a stay there. It's an excellent base to see the best of North Cornwall.

"Perfect cottage holiday"
My family really enjoyed our week in Tintagel. There are lots to see within driving distance, even when it rains... The only negative point with small children who llike to get up at all times during the nap to use the bathroom is that the upstairs one is only accessible through the main bedroom. But that's a minor thing, really, since everything else is great! The owner lives next door and is very friendly and helpful.
