Description from owner

Description

Millburn Cottage is a traditional 3 bedroom property situated in an elevated picturesque rural setting. It is in a west facing position and has stunning sunsets over Loch Fyne and the Kintyre peninsula. Heating is provided by a wood burning stove and electric total control and storage heaters. The cottage is a wonderful place to get away from it all but still be close to local amenities.

It was the original Mill in Melldalloch, outside the ancient village of Kilfinan and near Tighnabruaich. It is in the parish records of 1642 as Dougal Blacks House & Mill. Today the Cottage has been upgraded by its artistic owners and has a quirky character.

The dormer windows in the cosy upper bedrooms retain the original wood panelling and provide spectacular views to Loch Fyne. The Lounge has a wood-burning stove and the master bedroom has a decorative Celtic iron fireplace. There is a bespoke free standing kitchen off the lounge and a modern bathroom with walk in shower.

There is a large conservatory to enjoy the scenic views and has access to the private garden. The garden has a wonderful variety of flowers, plants, shrubs and wildlife. The burn which originally powered the Mill has been redirected and is now a beautiful feature of the garden. The entire garden is fenced in and is ideal for pets.

Millburn Cottage is located just outside the ancient village of Kilfinan (2 miles) and 4 miles outside Tighnabruaich and the adjoining Kames. The cottage feels remote and benefits from a large and secluded garden. Otter Ferry is a 7 mile drive to the -Pub on the Beach. It is approximately 2 hours drive from Glasgow.
