Description

A beautiful detached oast house, recently converted, and furnished to a high standard. Set in a rural position in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Sussex/Kent border. Located within the grounds of a larger property, the oast has its own private and spacious lawned garden overlooking the surrounding fields and paddocks. There is a south-west facing terrace, perfect for outside dining and barbecues. The pond to the side of the oast is not for guest use and is fenced off and safe for children. Wildlife is abundant, and sightings have included deer, foxes, badgers, and many species of birds including kingfishers, and barn owls.

Ideally located just a 10 minute walk by footpath from Bewl Water, the largest lake in the south-east of England. With a 13 mile circular path, Bewl offers beautiful waterside walks all year round and is very popular for birdwatching. The perimeter path is also open to horses and cycles in the summer months (usually from April to October).
