Situated in the heart of Earby, a small town near Skipton regarded as the "Gateway to the Dales" This is ideal walking and cycling country, being on the "Pendle Way and a short walk to the "Pennine Way". Also close by are the "Leeds to Liverpool" canal and the Forest of Bowland.

The cottage is situated opposite a grocer and a fantastic bakery, great for a bacon sandwich in the morning and not far to go!!!!!! We are also fortunate to have several restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. Two traditional pubs serving food are also close by.

Although not widely regarded as a holiday town, it consequently has the benefit of free parking and cheaper rental!

Strictly no smoking!

The cottage has been partly refurbished and completely redecorated

New double glazed front windows and door have been installed (March 2014).

Open plan ground floor lounge and kitchen leading to;

Utility room with washing machine, airer and dehumidifier.

Back door leads to a covered area ideal for dirty bits! Boots and bikes etc. There is rear access from an attractive yard which has table and chairs, flower pots etc.

1st floor has a double room and a single room. The shower-room has no bath, just the shower, toilet and hand basin.

Parking is 30m along the street or on the adjacent corner. Drop off is possible at the rear.

Owners Bob and Fay are available by phone anytime for help and advice.

Check-out 10:00 but we can be flexible, please confirm when booking.

The Yorkshire region

Earby is set on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border just 7 miles from the market town of Skipton. It is a small, quiet mill town ideally situated for a walking or cycling self catering holiday.
Earby is on the Pendle Way and only a stones throw from the Pennine Way. Also close are the Leeds to Liverpool canal and the Forest of Bowland.

Thornton-in-Craven

The cottage is situated in the heart of Earby, a quiet small town, extremely convenient for the two pubs traditional serving food. Also in easy walking distance is an Indian and Cantonese restaurant.
Amenities include the bus station, Coop food store (open 07:00 to 22:00 7 days). Also a bakers and grocer opposite.
Earby has its own Lead Mine Museum.
Fishing is available at the Raygill Fishery up on the moor at Lothersdale.
Ghyll golf club is just the other side of Thornton-in-Craven toward Barnoldswick.
Thornton Hall Farm Country Park is great for kids!

“A perfect little get away”

We booked this cottage to visit the Yarndale show in nearby Skipton and found it to be just perfect for us. The cottage is very well presented with everything you could need and spotlessly clean. We were very comfortable and very warm. The beds are very comfortable too! Do not be put off by no actual parking, there is plenty within a few yards of the cottage. There are shops and pubs and take aways all within a short walk and more good eating places a short drive, then Skipton which is only 10 minutes drive and so much to see and do. The surrounding countryside is glorious. We definitely hope to stay here again!

Top quality, fully equipped cottage with everything you need, and all virtually brand new. Bob and Fay are excellent hosts with many helpful tips and a good collection of tourist information. A quiet location with safe nearby car parking, enough local shops, cafes, restaurants, and then not very far to the Yorkshire Dales and other touristy spots made this a relaxing worry free holiday. An excellent place to stay and super value for money.

This is a great place to stay, the cottage is very clean and has everything you need for everyday living. The yard is a sun trap and flowers brighten it up. Great area for exploring, Bolton abbey a must, beautiful place. We went fishing in the nearby Raygill fishery, great relaxing day. Bob and Faye were there on arrival and left nothing unexplained, thanks for a great place to stay. Oh and Harry in grocery store across the road a good tourist information officer :) ........

This is a lovely cottage, very close to all the local amenities, with plenty to see and visit in the surrounding area. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and warm, and contained everything we could have needed. It has been recently renovated to a high specification and to a high standard. The owners were very helpful and were available for any questions we had. They have a great knowledge of the surrounding area and were both very welcoming.
