Phangan beach bungalows is a family run resort which is situated off the main road in Ban Tai Koh Phangan - altogether there are 14 bungalows of which 5 of them are twin bedrooms that sleep 2 - 3 people as they have a double bed and a single bed - these bungalows have A/C plus fan, hot water, comfy armchairs and balcony and privacy due to the harmonious tropical screening . There is also an option of another mattress with linen that could be provided and placed on the floor for a child or another back packer that is priced at 300THB per night.
The other nine bungalows are smaller and sleep 2 people with double bed and hot water showers and either have A/C or fan and these smaller bungalows are cheaper depending upon low - high season.
It is a very peaceful resort and is great for those of you who are wanting to chill after the full moon and half moon parties and the resort is right on the beach with swimming pool and great views of Koh Samui. There is a choice of larger family type bungalows or beach huts suitable for a single - couple occupancy. The resort has a very nice garden with lots of tropical plants that separate the bungalows from the beach restaurant offering local Thai cuisine as well as western food.
The owner also has a fishing boat for any of you wanting to catch your supper and the staff are very helpful and courteous.
Weekly linen change is provided for longer stays...these larger bungalows that sleep 2-3 people do not have a sea view but are less than one minutes walk to the pool and beach.

The Surat Thani Province region
Koh Phangan is a lush and vibrant tropical island in the Gulf of Thailand boasting unspoiled white sand beaches, azure seas and a jungle interior. Koh Phangan started as a back-door escape from its larger sister Koh Samui, but is now blooming into an international destination for tourists and travelers around the world. Although very popular, the island has yet to become highly developed and retains much of its natural beauty.
The average temperature is 30 - 32 degrees year round.
People on Koh Phangan continue to live a peaceful friendly rural lifestyle. Coconut farming is an important source of income for the local people and there is a flourishing fishing community. There have been many changes caused by development, but Koh Phangan still has plenty of remote beaches and is surrounded by a beautiful coral reef. Coastal areas are lined with plantations of gently waving coconut palms and the untouched rainforest houses a rich diversity of flora and fauna. About 8000 people live on Koh Phangan and the King of Thailand has said it still remains one of his adored places to stay in Thailand. Some of the immigrants are Chinese whose ancestors migrated from China over 100 years ago but there is a continued fluctuation of immigrants who have holidayed over the years and now settled for their retirement. The main population lives in Thongsala the main town of the island.
