Grade II Listed Barn Conversion, modernised to a very high standard. Semi-rural and secluded location only 2 miles from the M6 and M56 Junction.

The property is approached down its long private drive with parking for several cars.

The Barn is characterful, complete with original oak beams and fireplaces and oak floors throughout downstairs. A blend of traditional and contemporary rustic charm

The dining area of the hall with working fire place seats 8.

The kitchen/sitting room is well equipped for cooking and the perfect place to relax - on the comfy seating or perched on bar stools observing the 'designated chef on stage'.

Warmed by gas central heating but ambience is provided by the wood burning stove (gas fired) in the sitting room, feature fire (gas) in the main sitting room and real wood burning stove in the hall for fireside dining.

Within the large lawned and private garden is an Oak framed garden room comfortably accomodating 8 people. Sitting around the open fire makes for some fantastic Al fresco evenings. Even better - hot tub for can be used in the garden room - please enquire at time of booking.

Additionally there are two patio areas, the breakfast patio catches the morning sun, whilst the patio at the bottom of the garden is perfect to enjoy pre-dinner drinks.

Upstairs, there are 3 WC's, 2 wet-rooms and a family bathroom with overbath shower.

Oak Barn is situated in a semi rural conservation area close to motorways M6 and M56 and Manchester Airport.

Centrallyy located for the major North West attractions - within one hour or less :- Chester, Manchester and Liverpool, North Wales, Lake District (South), Peak District. Chester, Haydock and Aintree Racecourses, Oulton Park racing circuit.

Great walks and Cycle paths along the Bridgewater Canal; Manchester Ship Canal and Trans-Pennine way will take you to the conservation villages of Lymm, Grappenhall, Stockton Heath and beyond.

Lymm and Stockton Heath have an excellent range of bars, restaurants and independent shops from boutiques to art galleries and just a short drive to upmarket Hale and Knutsford.

Thelwall

The tiny village of Thelwall ( "Pool by a plank bridge" ) was established in AD 923 during the reign of King Edward the Elder. Here you will find the Pickering Arms and the Little Manor both serving food all day in picturesque surroundings.

A short drive to a wealth of national trust properties nearby:- Dunham Massey, Arley Hall and Gardens, Tatton Park and Hall.

For children:

Cheshire Ice cream farm, Blue Planet Aquarium, Gullivers world Chester Zoo, Knowsley Safari Park , Stockley Farm, Legoland and Sealife(Trafford Centre)
