Description

The gite is situated in the heart of the beautiful floral village of Le Gorvello. Your accommodation is part of a traditional “longere” or longhouse, which were very common in this part of Brittany. The original part of this one, we believe, dates back to around 1750. We refurbished it to an exceptional standard over a period of two years.

Details of the accommodation can be found below. Everything is fitted out to the highest standard - doors and windows are oak, towels and bedlinen are pure cotton or Egyptian cotton, the kitchen is over-equipped with utensils etc. Everything in your gite is spotless, the windows are clean, the garden is tidy, and everything you might need has been thought of.

During low season (October - April) we offer Chambre d'hotes (Bed and Breakfast) at the gite. Please contact us for further details

Although there is a bus route through the village, and Vannes train station is well served to from destinations throughout France, a car is really essential to make the most of the area.

“A great Christmas break”

Jenni's welcome was very warm. We took advantage of Jenni's ready meal service on our first night and not only was the food extremely tasty but it was beautifully served to us by Jenni's sons, Jake and Sam. There was a good selection of welcome "goodies" (fresh milk, biscuits, pancakes, wine, cider, jam, honey to name but a few) which were delicious and very useful. The gite itself is absolutely lovely and is finished to a very high standard with all the mod cons you could want on holiday. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were all of a very good standard - nice soft fluffy towels and crisp bedding - and everywhere was spotless. We were there to visit extended family over the Christmas period and the house was warm and cosy and on the couple of evenings we did stay in we lit the log burner just to make it even cosier. The village itself is very pretty and there are plenty of walking opportunities nearby. We know the area quite well but for those that don't there is a lot of information in the gite to set you off in the right direction and I have no doubt that Jenni and Peter would be more than happy to help with more information. Unfortunately, our weather was rather wet but the outside space in better weather would also be lovely. All in all, a gem of a find and one we would hope to return to again.

How do damage deposits work?
