“Relaxing and Beautiful Cottage”

Reviewed 20 Mar 2015

We found the Well House to be very clean and comfortable . It is set in a lovely peaceful location with easy access to lots of places .

Owner's reply: We appreciate your positive feedback and pleased you enjoyed your short break away visiting many of our local attractions. Thank you, Alison

“Wonderful stay in the English countryside”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2014

Photographs do not do justice to the Well House and the lovely surrounding countryside. The cottage was equipped with every convenience and was ideally located for our first visit to the UK. Our hostess was very welcoming on our arrival and provided numerous suggestions to make our stay a success. I would strongly recommend a stay at the Well House.

Owner's reply: Delighted you all enjoyed your first England visit - hope to see you again. Thank you

We recently stayed at The Well House for a week in February. The owners made us very welcome, greeting us upon arrival and making sure we were comfortable. They had kindly provided a welcome pack of essentials for our arrival, and beautiful Molton Brown toiletries in the bathrooms. The house is very well equipped with a beautiful kitchen, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and tumble drier. Set in its own grounds, the house is very tranquil and relaxing, yet it is close to Oxford and within easy reach of London by train. We visited the local Waitrose in nearby Thame for groceries. We would recommend the house to anyone visiting the area, and will definitely return in the future.

Owner's reply: Glad you all enjoyed a restful break. Thank you.

“Outstanding property”

Reviewed 7 May 2013

Very comfortable and well equipped property, furnished to very high standard and in wonderful country setting. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and watching red kites soaring overhead was a real treat.

“The Well House”

Reviewed 22 Mar 2013

The Well House is a beautiful cottage in a prime location. Lots of villages to visit as well as Oxford on the door step, so we never felt too isolated, even with the horrendous weather! The Well House is stunning. Everything was of high quality and the attention to details in each room was worthy of a 5* hotel and more. We could not fault the property or location and would recommend it to anyone.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your positive words, we try hard to maintain high standards for our guests to enjoy. As for the weather - what can I say, we are still working on it!

“Superb”

Reviewed 21 Mar 2013

This house was wonderful and just what we were after. It had everything we needed and the welcome pack was perfect. The lounge area was so comfortable and warm that we didn't really want to leave. It was useful having a second bathroom downstairs and they were both very clean and well decorated. The setting was beautiful as well. My two children had a great deal of fun watching the horses training on the steeple chase nearby and walking around in the woods by the house. I would love to go back to this house if we get a free weekend.

Owner's reply: Delighted that you all enjoyed both the cottage and the surroundings. Thanks and hope to see you again.

“A beautiful well-furnished and equipped cottage”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2012

A beautiful, well-furnished and equipped cottage in an excellent condition with very nice grounds. It enabled a very comfortable stay in . Alison and Mike, who live right next-door, were very helpful in ensuring that we had everything that we wanted. The location is very quiet, well into the countryside, but it is only 5 minutes from a motorway so getting places was very easy. There are numerous local restaurants in country inns and a supermarket about 15 minutes distant in Thame. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

Owner's reply: It was our pleasure and delighted all went well - so thrilling for us to touch a London 2012 Gold Medal! We do appreciate your kind words and hope to see you all again.

“A superb cottage in a peaceful and beautiful location”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2012

We stayed with my 6 month old baby and his grandmother. The cottage was so well equipped and had everything you could wish for. The welcome back was a lovely treat. The beds were super comfortable and the living area spacious and stylish. The bathrooms were spotless. We visited the local area and were spoilt for choice for attractions and places to eat out. We hope to visit again and would recommend to our friends. Many Thanks

Owner's reply: Delighted that all went smoothly for your baby's first family holiday. Thank you.

This is an excellent place to stay. Close to motorway but totally quiet. Beautiful location, comfortable and spacious house, great walks in adjoining woodland. Alison was extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

“The House and place was absolutely stunning”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2012

We felt very welcome and loved the house and the setting. Thank you Alison for letting us feel comfy and very much at home in the lovely Well House. We were all very sad to leave after one week. There is so much to visit and look at nearby and after a long day out we very much enjoyed the cosy living room.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind comments. Delighted that you got to visit all the places you wanted and more await if you return!
