“It's the little things...”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2016

We spent 4 nights in this quaint little cottage; it was literally a home away from home. It is peaceful, well equipped and in a wonderful location for visiting a number of attractions. Sarah could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommended!

Thankyou so much Kerri, for taking the time to write such a positive review. It is great to be highly recommended by you. Much appreciated. Sarah

“Fantastic, rustic, peaceful country stone cottage in Normandy”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2012

Sarah greeted us on arrival, and made us feel thoroughly welcome. The cottage is in a tiny hamlet a few km from the small town of Tessy - which has a great boulangerie, boucherie, small Carrefour etc. It has a large, grassy garden that is screened by hedges and is very quiet & private. The outdoor terrace is lovely to use on a sunny day. Sarah provides every piece of equipment a house could possibly need - and more. The rustic interior style made one feel instantly at home. The kitchen comes fully equiped with every concievable gadget and every herb & spice there is. UK television is included. We can recommend the little restaurant in the next village, Domjean. Opp. campsite. Nice food, reasonable prices. And also the market for local produce at Villedieu. We thoroughly recommend 'Le Hamel Dumont' for those looking for a relaxing rural holiday within easy reach of many Normandy attractions.

“A lovely place to stay”

Reviewed 24 Jun 2012

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful house and had a very relaxing holiday. Our 5 year old son loved sleeping in the top bunk and very happily (and quietly!) played with the many toys in his room. The adult bedrooms were both lovely. And the gardens (front and back) were large enough for children to run about in, and a great place to enjoy breakfast on a sunny day. The kitchen is also well worth a mention, as it was well stocked with pots/utensils/herbs etc. - ideal if you enjoy cooking.

“Lovely cottage with everything you could need.”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2012

We had a fantastic stay at le hamel dumont. The gardens were lovely and fantastic for the kids to run around in. Log fire was on most evenings, very relaxing. Kitchen was very well equipped and everything we could possibly need was there. Thanks for toys for kids too. Would very much recommend this cottage!

“A beautiful cottage in lovely countryside”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2011

Thank you very much for letting our family use your cottage recently. Although the break was relatively short we all came back refreshed after a relaxing few days in Normandy. The cottage met all our expectations and was very comfortable and homely. Sitting in front of the log fire in the evening, sharing time with the family, was particularly special. The cottage in well placed in attractive countryside with easy access to the main attractions in Normandy. Both Mont St Michel and The Memorial in Caen didn't disappoint and were straight forward to get to. Thank you for a lovely break

“We loved our time at Le Hamel du Mont”

Reviewed 30 Oct 2011

We stayed at Le Hamel du Mont for a month and were more than happy there. it is a lovely cosy cottage with loads of personality. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped- particularly the kitchen which was a pleasure to cook in. The owners made us feel very welcome and provided many generous extras that are not usually found in a holiday house. The position is bucolic and perfect as a base for exploring the Normandy countryside.
