“Perfect”

Reviewed 24 May 2015

Cosy, comfortable and clean. We were made very welcome by the owners. The location was perfect for exploring Kent

“Top class property - Immaculate”

Reviewed 16 Jul 2013

Barden Cottage is a real home away from home and a real find. The wine, chocolates, biscuits and fresh flowers on arrival were very much appreciated. Yvonne and Geoff have furnished the cottage to a high standard, but in a way that you are at ease and comfortable. Bed linen and towels are of excellent quality. Off street parking is also a bonus. If you are looking for a great place to stay you cannot go past Barden Cottage. Tenterden is a lovely location for touring and has all the amenities you could wish for.

“A fabulous find”

Reviewed 9 May 2013

Such a gorgeous and characterful little cottage with a sweet garden ~ our Spring break was a small slice of heaven. The cottage, all decorated with impeccably good taste, was immaculately presented and every care had been taken to ensure a delightful stay. We so appreciated all the little details such as tissues in the rooms, plentiful good quality clothes hangers, handcreams, extra loo roll and towels etc ~ it really was faultless. The owners were a joy to meet and had ensured that the cottage was beautifully clean, fresh and aired... we simply had nothing to do but enjoy ourselves! The location was ideal with many wonderful walks to hand and lots to do within a very short distance. With a plethora of information, local booklets and maps left available for our perusal we quickly discovered that one week was not going to be long enough. Nevermind, the cottage is just so perfect that I am sure another visit beckons...

“Excellent base to see a beautiful historically rich area”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2012

Barden cottage was fantastic, we have stayed at many cottages around the country but this was the best we been to. Very well kept, all you could want but more impressive was the attention to detail that Yvonne & Geoff have clearly put in such as leaving wine, chocolates, fresh flowers. We liked it so much we would like to move Barden Cottage home with us! The area is beautiful, picture postcard villages everywhere, lots of historically significant and interesting places to go. Tenterden is a lovely town, the Kent & East Sussex Steam Railway running from there to Bodiam Castle was a bonus as we had not heard of it before. Even the weather was sunshine all week. Thanks for a great week, we will be back, there is a lot more to see yet.

“A Lovely clean and well equiped character cottage”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2012

We were warmly greeted by the owners of Barden cottage (Yvonne and Geoff) at arrival and shown around the property. We found the cottage spotlessly clean and well stocked with everything we required for our stay including washing machine, iron and washing line . Private parking in front was a big bonus with a small delightful garden at the rear. Tenterden is a lovely town in central Kent with many attractions close by including the charming Kent and East Sussex Railway. We would definately return for another great holiday at this Cottage Yvonne and Jon

“A lovely cottage with a warm welcome”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2012

We stayed at Barden Cottage for the Queen's Jubilee weekend. We received a warm welcome from the owners, with fresh flowers, milk and rose wine to greet us. The cottage is in a good location for visiting local landmarks and all amenities are provided for. The local Indian restuarant serves good food and there is a good shop open late which is useful. I am sure that we will be booking again in the future.

“Beautiful Cottage”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2012

The cottage is attractively decorated and furnished to a high standard. The kitchen is very well equiped providing all the essentials for self catering. We were given a warm welcome by the owners who also provided some welcome 'extras' and a vase of fresh flowers. It is a walkable distance of about a mile into Tenterden, plenty of parking if you prefer to drive. Overall the cottage was very cosy and provided an ideal base for exploring Kent.
