Location description from owner

The Wales region

Tenby is tucked away in Pembrokeshire's beautiful coastal National Park. Pembrokeshire is famous for its beautiful sandy beaches, charming fishing villages and market towns all in easy reach. It is difficult to find a setting more picturesque.

Tenby

Tenby is a delightful little harbour town and seaside resort, awarded a silver for the best coastal resort at the British Travel awards in 2014.

Tenby's hilltop position led to its early settlement as a Welsh stronghold, which was replaced in medieval times by a Norman Castle and walled town. Part of the town walls survive to this day and are an attractive entrance to the quaint cobbled streets where you can find excellent restaurants and tea rooms.

With three blue flagged beaches all facing in different directions this small fishing town can be the haven for any family retreat. Tenby harbour has a thriving boating and fishing community as well as the departure point for the Caldey Island boats and also the daily fishing and pleasure trips.

Tenby boast of two great golf courses, along with an excellent bowling green to suit all ages. Tenby is close to several local attractions, Folly Farm, Oakwood, Heatherton and Blue Lagoon water park just to name a few and will host Iron Man 2015.

“A spacious house in very close proximity to tenby centre and the beach.”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2016

The house was just right for our needs. Having the pushchair, I was able to just wheel it in through the door and leave it in the hallway. The rooms were spacious, although a little outdated in decor, but were fine. It is advertised as a three storey house but you actually occupy the two upper floors, as the owner lives on the ground floor., with separate entrance door of course. Parking was only £16 for the week at the station, just a minutes walk wawy but there is space for 4 cars outside the houses on a first come first serve basis. The only critism we have is the lack of wifi which if connected would be a big plus point. We will definately be booking Mayfield again for next year. Myself and the kids loved it.
