Description

Cysgod y Coed is in the grounds of Trefloyne Manor & Golf Club, yet set to one side amongst ancient woodland. The property is of Swedish design & is warm & comfortable with underfloor heating, triple glazing & sumptuous furnishings. An ideal retreat for a quiet weekend away; great for a longer stay.

Families & couples enjoy staying here as it is secluded but within 1.5 miles of Tenby. Within easy travelling distance are numerous beaches, & lots of attractions for children of all ages & their parents too.

We fell in love with the property on first sight & from the many guest comments we know they have too. This was built in 2009 & is a very spacious holiday home for 6 people, but a really secluded place .

Fabulous Trefloyne Manor and Golf Club has a child friendly bar & restaurant ( do not miss Sunday lunch ) which is only a two minute stroll away from your door.

If you don't know the area look up " Paulmanorbier " on U Tube.

“Great stay”

Reviewed 29 Oct 2015

Lovely clean and comfortable accommodation. There was a nice warm feeling to the property which was in a good location with plenty of things to do and explore.

Thank you. Lynn and I appreciate the time taken to write a review. You are very welcome to return,

“Cosy with great location”

We all had a great time. The lodge is beautiful and felt very homely. Everything was there that we needed, and spent lots of time at the golf club and in Tenby.

Thank you for your review. We so enjoy reading them; they make us glad that guests enjoy themselves. Welcome back at any time.

“Perfect Weekend”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2014

Where do I start? From start to finish our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. Located within a golf resort - you feel you are miles away from Tenby town, when you are actually a 5 minute drive away. The lodge itself was comfortable and luxurious. We cooked our own food (bought from the local market), and watched movies in a spacious upstairs lounge area. Everything was spotless! We had the best roast dinner ever on the Sunday in the Trefloyne Manor House - a 50 yard walk from the lodge. Looking forward to returning at Christmas for a festive stay!

Many thanks for your kind review. Sorry I could not join you for Sunday lunch, but I had to get back home. Christmas is still available at present. Lynn and I will be decorating early in December to get into the spirit.

“Stylish contemporary swedish lodge, with all the comforts of home.”

We stayed here for one week at the end of August 2014. As soon as we entered I felt relaxed. The children thought it was amazing and loved their space downstairs. We loved the fact that there were two distinct living areas with a large room downstairs for all the family and a lovely lounge upstairs for grown up evenings. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and having the use of the washing machine and dryer was an added bonus. The house was warm and cosy and the showers hot and powerful. The sofas were lovely and comfy as were the beds. The bluray player and BT hub / TV meant we had plenty to watch in the evening but we did take our own films too. It is by far the best holiday home we have stayed in whilst holidaying in the UK but you get what you pay for! We weren't disappointed. It I had to be picky then the only improvement I would suggest making would be to put up more hooks to hang coats / dressing gowns etc but if that's all I can say about the place then it's pretty near perfect!! The surrounding area was quiet and even the wedding party at the manor house didn't interrupt our evening. We didn't make it over into the manor house so can't comment on that but as outsiders looking in we were impressed with what we did see. The booking process was very easy, as was any communication I had with the owner Trafford. We loved Broadhaven beach and Freshwater West had the best rock pools I have ever seen. Freshwater West has lifeguards and the body boarding was fantastic for all the children (ages 6, 9, 11 and 46!)

Thank you for your lovely review. There are coat/ dressing gown hangers on the upstairs shower room door. We also have coat hangers in the boiler room for wet coats. Funnily enough Lynn has bought some hangers for the downstairs bedrooms. Another job for me coming up I see. Thank you for the suggestion.

“Wow. . . Blown away! Fantastic stay x”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2014

This home was everything we hoped it would be. I go away every year on an annual weekend with my 4 friends and decided to stay nearer to home this year and go to Tenby. I chose Cysgod Y Coed due to the wonderful reviews on trip advisor and they were spot on. When we arrived we had lunch (and a glass of wine) at Treffloyne manor which was fantastic. Very beautiful place, surroundings and of course the food was wonderful. We then went to the lodge. First impressions. . Wow! It was spotless, Every room was decorated so beautifully and of course we had beautiful weather so we were straight out on the veranda to enjoy the fantastic views. There was so much space and we instantly fell in love with the place. So many places to eat and visit near by, it has everything that you could possibly need for a fantastic weekend away with friends or family. We loved the place so much that on the second night we stayed we decided to stay in and get a take away and make the most of Cysgod y Coed! Would also like to say that Trafford was accommodating, friendly and helpful. Would HIGHLY recommend xx Thank you Lynn and Trafford xx

We are embarrassed by your praise. Thank you ever so much. Pleasure to have you as our guests.

“Great accomadation in peaceful location”

Reviewed 15 Jun 2014

Accomadation excellent, real home from home. Kids loved their bedroom. Great location a couple of miles from Tenby center on really peaceful but in easy reach of everything Tenby and the area offers.

Thank you for reviewing our place. It does make it so worthwhile when guests take the trouble to write. Glad the kids enjoyed. If they are happy everyone else is.

A beautiful lodge in a lovely setting. Everything and more that you could ask for in the way of facilities. Very welcoming. Masses of space.

Thank you so much. You were great guests. Do come again.

“Gutted it was over so quick”

Reviewed 22 Jan 2014

We had a brilliant stay at cysgod the house was better than in the pictures! The surroundings were lovely too very tranquil and peaceful! The decor is lovely and it provided everything we needed and more! We were amazed to find the lovely footpath behind the cottages which then came out into a feild overlooking the coast it was amazing and one of the highlights of the stay! I will defiantly be returning in the near future! Only disappointment was the departure times which we all thought was a shame as we couldn't get up slowly and pack. It was a shame our last night consisted of packing and trying to keep everything clean enough ready to leave in the morning!

Thank you for your lovely review. That path is a fine walk and the view from the field is rewarding. Unfortunately we do require guests to vacate at 10am in order to prepare for the next guests to arrive at 3pm. It really takes us that long as Lynn and I do it ourselves. Next time you come, provided no guests are due to arrive that day, you can have a lie in. Just ask.

“remarkable retreat from a repetitive life style”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2014

My wife and I first went to Cysgod y Coed in November 2012 for our Honeymoon, the stay was the ultimate relaxation from normail life, Tenby town is a quaint but lovely place to visit. The manor house opposite the lodge is a great place to go for a meal, slightly pricey but worth every penny. The lodge is a a haven with two floors one for the huge kitchen and dining area and the other for the lounge area. we couldn't believe how well the decorations were laid out through-out the lodge. The master bedroom and ensuite was a pleasure to stay in. I enjoyed the relaxing shower, the wife enjoyed the bath. we went back again in November 2013 for our honeymoon. If you dont mind a small walk then Tenby town is easy enough to walk to, however there are taxi companies available, we would recommend Gaz's taxi's as we used them both times we visited and were very pleasant. Lastly the owners of the lodge are a wonderful accommodating couple who will endure to ensure you stay is worth every penny. We will be visiting again.

Now we are blushing with pride. Thank you . What more can we say except, do come again.

“Outstanding modern cottage in Tenby”

Reviewed 31 Dec 2013

Excellent welcome with bottle of Cava, beautiful modern cottage with lots of space for young children to play. All the mod cons come with the property and underfloor heating. Excellent walks from the bck of the cottage and golf course next door. We had an excellent Meal in the nearby (100 metres) trefloyne manor (golf club) that also has a bar. we would definitely come back, the cottage was perfect for our boys of 6 and 2 yrs.

Thank you so much. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us.
