Location description from owner

The Wales region

Pembrokeshire is a region that offers many beautiful white sandy beaches that can be accessed fairly easily for most visitors but for those looking for an area of outstanding beauty and off the beaten track, then there also exists something special along the Pembrokeshire coastal path.

Places not to be missed are Barafundel Bay, Carew Castle and Mill, Bosherton Lily Ponds and Stackpole. Activities are plentiful and include fishing, surfing, sailing, canoeing, seal safaris aswell as a number of small theme parks and water attractions.

Tenby

Tenby is one of South Pembrokeshire largest and prettiest seaside town. The town is set within its own Tudor walls and is surrounded by beautiful white sandy beaches, with Blue Flag status. The Victorian pastel coloured houses in the harbour make this seaside setting picturesque, with charming narrow streets with quaint shops and some very good restaurants.

There are many attractions to explore within the town itself such as the galleries, town museum and regular boat rides to nearby Caldy Island is a must for any visitor.

“It is exactly as advertised, does what it says on the tin!”

Good, friendly and very helpful communication process before and after our stay. The flat itself is well equipped and very comfortable and its situation in the heart of the town is perfect with the beaches, shops and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. From the bay window you have a view out to sea. Visitors to Tenby should understand that 'on street' parking within the town is difficult so don't expect to park outside your holiday let. Our advice is to buy a long term ticket for one of the car parks and then you can come and go as you please during your stay and avoid the frustration of looking for a parking space each time you move your car. There are 2 car parks withing 5 minutes walk of Sherbourne House.

Thank you very much for your kind review. We are currently decorating the hall, stairs and landing at the shared entrance to this apartment, this should provide a more welcoming first impression for our guests. Thank your for the useful information on parking and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

“Great location, but lots of noise from other flats”

Reviewed 3 Sep 2015

The location was incredible, just minutes walk from beautiful beaches and all the shops and restaurants in Tenby. The beds were incredibly comfortable which was just as well as the noise from the flat upstairs went on til midnight most nights and started again as early as six am. It was often just people walking about but sounded more like a herd of animals stampeding... The bathroom is almost too small for four people to share but all in all, comfy and welcoming.

Thank you for your review. It is a pity you did not contact us about the noise in the flat upstairs during your holiday, as we could have dealt with the situation in the same prompt manner that we dealt with your request for tumbler glasses (the very next day). Flat 2 upstairs is also a holiday let but we rarely have complaints about noise from upstairs, so we are surprised it affected you and we will look into the issue. Thank you for mentioning how comfortable the beds are, it is a very important to us that our guests get a good night's sleep. The bathroom contains a bath with a shower over, toilet and wash hand basin and whilst it may be small, it is perfectly adequate for the needs of our guests and we haven't had a complaint before about the size of the bathroom. Guests are able to view the bathroom on the video we provide for each of our properties on our Seascape Limited website and more importantly, it has been assessed as 4 Stars by Visit Wales during their annual visits.

“Everything you need for a great stay in a great town!”

Flat was fantastic. Kitchen very well equipped, every room tastefully decorated. Mattress was so good I had to check the brand and model number since I need a new one. Every night we slept very soundly. As the some other reviews have mentioned some of the doors do drag on the carpet a bit, but it really is not a problem! Also CD player in living room is missing an adapter so can't currently be plugged in. These are not big deals. One issue we *did* encounter was that the TVs were not picking up many channels since the flat below had jiggled about with the communal aerial. Sue and Rob arranged for this to be fixed the very next day. Parking was a worry before we arrived, but you can get a permit for a week from the Council which allows you to park in the resident's parking bays right outside the door. This worked fine until the very last day when another visitor's car turned up which was as big as a bus and took up two slots. We have stayed in similar priced properties in St Ives and Robin Hoods Bay for the last two years, and neither could hold a candle to this one. When we return to Tenby, we'll be returning here!

Thank you very much for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and found the mattresses very comfortable. We have replaced the adaptor for the CD unit during changeover and thank you for your helpful information re parking, which I am sure future guests will find useful. We look forward to welcoming you back to Tenby in the future.

Reviewed 28 Dec 2014

Excellent flat and great location had everything you needed a well maintained and clean property, would recommend to friends and we will be staying again soon. We had christmas lunch at the South beach grill, we had excellent food with fantastic service.

Thank you for your kind review, we love the South Beach grill, probably one of the best Sunday roasts in Tenby!

“Perfect Location”

We had a wonderful week at this property, its location is perfect for beach, town and all amenities in Tenby. The view of Caldy is a particular favourite of mine. The flat was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Well will definitely be visiting again some time in the future.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review, we value your comments and I am glad you enjoyed the lovely view to Caldey Island from the lounge window. We look forward to welcoming you back in future.

“Stunning Tenby”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2014

Had a lovely weeks holiday in Tenby and the weather was really kind to us. 1 Sherbourne house is in a great location for South beach, the kids loved going to the beach each day and the view from the living room to Caldey Island was impressive. The flat was well equipped for cooking especially as we ate most evening meals at home due to the children not liking to go out in the evening. Flat itself is very comfortable as are the beds and pillows. Only niggle was that the master bedroom could do with some kind of blackout blind under the pale curtains as you are woken very early by the sun streaming into the bedroom. I would be happy to stay here again and recommend it to others

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a great review. We look forward to welcoming you back.

“Sherbourne House provides a modern and comfortable accommodation in a great location.”

Reviewed 21 Jul 2014

We enjoyed our trip to Tenby and are planning on returning next year. Sherbourne House is located in the heart of Tenby and takes just a couple of minutes to get to the centre. The accommodation is comfortable and has everything you need. The sofa is a thing of beauty! Modern furnishings, light and airy accommodation. The open plan living is great for families. A great place to stay.

Thank you very much for your review, we are glad you enjoyed the sofa which we had to air lift in through the bay window, glad it was worth it! Look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
