Description from owner

Description

Built in 1850, this former coastguard cottage was extended and modernised in 2008, to provide a spacious family home with lots of individual features and wonderful views. Situated in a conservation area, on a narrow lane that is actually a slipway, just 35 metres from the river beach and 200 metres from the seafront, with all shops, buses, play park and amenities just a level stroll away, it is an incredibly quiet, sheltered location. There is off road parking for one car.
It is just a ten minute walk to Teignmouth train station, making it a suitable holiday venue for those who prefer not to use their car.
The cottage has been designed to make the most of the surroundings, with an outside hot shower for people and pets coming off the beach, (plus a downstairs bathroom and shower to avoid taking sand into the carpeted areas, and a further bathroom upstairs). There is a raised seating area in the garden to make the most of the river views, and the two double bedrooms and attic space

There is a raised seating area in the garden to make the most of the river views, and the two double bedrooms and attic space all have the panoramic view of the river, looking up towards Shaldon bridge. The attic space is accessed by a fixed spiral staircase, and has beanbags and mattresses, so although there are three bedrooms on the first floor, most older children prefer to sleep in the attic.
