“A great New Year break”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2016

We all had a great time at Yannon Towers over New Year 2015/16. It is an unusual property, quite quirky but excellent for a group/party. The weather was atrocious but we made the most of our short break in Teignmouth. The property is well equipped, warm and cosy and although it needs some TLC in places it provided all the facilities that suited our particular group. The town has lots to offer and we enjoyed the coastal walks with the dogs despite the driving rain, the gales and extremely rough seas.

“Property full of Character”

Reviewed 31 Dec 2015

This property is so full of character and has everything you need for all ages in the family. The kitchen was really well equipped and our Christmas day lunch went very smoothly - hard to find in a holiday property sometimes. It was clean and furniture suited it well. The beds were comfortable and showers/baths were great. A home away from home all the little touches made for a relaxing time. Plenty of room to seat all the family in the living room at Christmas time too. Beautiful views from the tower room and we didn't find it too cold without any heating as plenty of heaters were provided.

“lovely stay in quirky property”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2015

we had a party of ten aged 2 - 83. we all had a great week. kitchen was very well equipped and plenty of space in living room and dining area for us all. the stone stairs to the fifth bedroom in the tower not suitable for small children or elderly. great views from this, and other bedrooms. all the decor was a little tired, everything was very clean and with such a large party we didn't want to stay in a show home. the best recommendation is that we would all happily stay there again.

“Our own castle for the weekend! !”

Reviewed 19 Jun 2015

Stayed at Yannon for a family get together, the place is stunning with all the character you could hope for inc spiral staircase to secluded turret room, but with the luxury of modern bathrooms and kitchen perfect!!

“Stunning castle experience”

Reviewed 20 May 2015

We stayed as a group of 10 adults in the castle for a friends wedding, the place was absolutely spectacular, we spent most of the first night rushing from room to room exploring! The turret bedroom was a fairy tale, and all the other rooms were beautiful. spacious and comfy. There was plenty of space for us all to cook and eat together, and all for amazingly good value.

“Beautiful building!”

Reviewed 29 Apr 2015

We had a wonderful stay at Yannon Towers. The building is gorgeous, and it's very good value for money. I would definitely stay there again.

“Excellent accommodation, beautiful setting, thoroughly enjoyable”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2013

Booking process easy & professional, property was just as described, fantastic atmosphere, views, facilities. Location ideal for coastal trips, trips to Dartmoor, walks. Town easily accessible. We were a family group with teenage children but would equally suit an all adult group. A wonderful stay

“Yannon Towers Weekend”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2013

Old character packed house perfect for our long weekend house party of 10. Liked the 'shabby chic'' of the main room decor contrasted with the modern kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. The house being located so close to the centre of Teignmouth means it was very handy for restaurants , shops etc and made it easy to have a walk along the coastal path to Dawlish - catching the bus back was easy.

“Beautiful House to stay in, lovely views.”

Reviewed 30 Sep 2013

Had a wonderful comfortable stay in this folly house, pretending I was lady of the manor. Great views from top of tower. Amazingly. though it's big, it's cozy. we will be stay again in future.

“Happy family week at Yannon Towers”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2013

Yannon Towers is a fascinating place to stay for all age ranges of the family. It has comfortable rooms and the kitchen is well equipped - we cooked meals for 8 of us every night of our stay. Our age ranges were from 9 to 68 and we all had no problem with the walk to and from Teignmouth, though the return is a fairly steep uphill climb. Teignmouth is a nice town, though there was a lack of boat trips, and we found the travel to places like Torquay both quick and easy. Our only disappointment with the house facilities was the length of the grass which meant no cricket and poor football for the young lads.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your comments and unfortunately our previous gardener was unable to cut the grass prior to your visit. We now have a new gardener who is cutting the grass on a regular basis :)
