The spacious Scandinavian inspired white, high gloss kitchen has solid oak worktops, a dishwasher and a fridge with a freezer drawer. Light pours into the kitchen and down the hall thanks to the stunning atrium skylight. There is seating for four at the dining table with white Eames style chairs and a bar stool at the kitchen counter. The kitchen is also equipped with an iron and ironing board, hoover, range of cooking utensils, serving and storage bowls, scales, blender etc. There is plenty of room in numerous cupboards to store your food. You will even find a few books and puzzles for little ones.

Our contemporary and stylish bathroom is furnished with a Hudson Reed mirror and rainfall shower. Toes stay cosy on the underfloor heated porcelain floor tiles, which compliment the cubic Porcelonosa wall tiles. You will just need to bring your own towels.

Our single bedroom is furnished with an 800 pocket sprung memory foam mattress and is decorated with sweet Belle & Boo accessories.

The master bedroom offers a sumptuous pocket sprung Millbrook mattress, dressed with crisp white cotton bedding. A hairdryer is supplied in the retro bedside cabinets.

We lovingly restored and renovated Holly Blue Cottage during 2015 and 2016. The cottage was built in the 1860's as accommodation for the workers of the nearby Foundry.

The Neighbourhood

The cottage is nestled amongst a row of 5 cottages. The neighbours are all very friendly and welcoming. The town offers a huge variety of eateries, a wonderful Pannier market and regular fairs. The Wharf offers live music, cinema and theatre productions. Tavistock is within a World Heritage Area thanks to its mining history, it is close to Poldark country and many beaches are within a 45 minute drive of the cottage. Tavistock really is a perfectly located town, which offers something for everyone, whatever their age or interests.

Getting Around

The cottage is a short walk, around 5 minutes into Tavistock Town Centre, down a short hill and past the River Tavy. You can catch a glimpse of the river from the garden. Dartmoor is just a couple of minutes drive away.

There are regular buses into the nearby city of Plymouth and Okehampton town. Coaches and trains can be caught in Exeter and Plymouth.

The cottage is on a steep hill, but within a minute walk the land levels out.
