We had a fantastic couple of days in Kim's lodge. She was very hospitable and the lodge is perfect! Beautifully furnished and like a home away from home. Can't beat relaxing in the hot tub whilst watching the nature around you. Couldn't recommend enough!

Owner's reply: Thank you to both of you it was a pleasure to meet such a lovely couple who really appreciated what the lodge has to offer. Hope to see you again soon. Kind regards Kim.

This is the second year we have stayed in Waterside Lodge for a weekend and we loved it yet again. It is cosy, clean and comfortable, ideal for a friends weekend away. The view over the lake is beautiful and you feel miles away from the world. As usual, Kim was welcoming and helpful. Can't wait to go again.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review, so pleased that you all enjoyed your visit to Waterside Lodge again and thank you for booking your third visit 2018. Regards Kim.

“Absolutely fabulous place”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2017

Just got back from a weekend here, the cabin was beautiful and so warm and cosy, lots of room for everyone and the views were spectacular. The hot tub was just what we all needed, so relaxing. Kim met us there Friday evening with the keys and the log fire burning and also a bottle of fizz left for us. Nothing was too much trouble and we were even told we didn’t have to rush off on the Sunday morning as no one was in that day, so time for another cooked breakfast before heading home. We will definitely be back for another brilliant and relaxing break!

Owner's reply: I am so pleased that you all had a lovely time at the lodge and have taken the time to write such a fabulous review. Thank you so much for the feedback it means a lot to me to know that everything was just right. Hope to see you all again soon. Kim.

“Luxury lodge fishermans dream”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2017

What a stunning lodge . only stayed for a short break and wished we had longer. The owner kim is lovely and on hand if you need anything . the main reason we booked is because you can fish a few feet from the cabin. It really is a gem of a place and you will not be disappointed .

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review, so pleased that you enjoyed your stay it was a pleasure to welcome such a lovely family who really appreciated what the lodge has to offer. Hope to see you all again soon. xx

“Brilliant lodge and fishing”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2017

Had an amazing week with our daughter her husband and our grandson the lakes were wonderful right outside the lodge which made the fishing there wonderful. The lodge was so clean and lovely furnished Kim the owner has done a marvellous job with it and continuing to do so as she informed me that a hot tub is being extended on to the back overlooking the lakes. I am sure we wiill be back to sample that too thank you Kim

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your kind words it means a lot to know that you all had such a lovely time. It would be a pleasure to welcome you all back again, the Hot Tub awaits lol. xxxx

The lodge was clean and cosy. The location was fab, my girls loved fishing for the first time. The owner was incredibly accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. Shame the weather let us down. We visited Lincoln during our stay (we caughtthe bus). It's a must, fantastic city.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your positive review it means a lot to know that my standards are maintained. Glad that the girls enjoyed themselves fishing despite as you mentioned the weather was somewhat disappointing for this time of year. Hope to welcome you back again. Kind regards Kim.xx

“Lodge Great, Fishing Great, weather great, can't wait to return.”

What can I say apart from Fantastic. Stayed for Two weeks and Kim met us on the Saturday and gave us a guided tour of the property and a few idea's of what to see and where to eat while we were there. Both the Wife and I fish for a Hobby so this property was picked for the reason that is it right on the lake side with plenty of room for two to fish with ease. as I have not seen a lot of reports on the fishing I thought I would enlighten you as to what baits etc to use. Method feeder with Pellet or mini boillie will catch you bream all day long. Meat ( spam or bacon Grill ) will catch you Carp and larger Bream. Prawn was my main line of attack, Carp to 12lb 7oz, Bream to 6lb, Tench to 5lb, Perch to almost 2lb, roach to a pound were all caught on prawn over a bloodworm based groundbait. My wife also caught two pike ( 8lb and 6lb ) within 10 minutes of each other on pellet ( which was being retreived, so probably spinning and thus attracked the pike ) I caught at least one decent carp an evening by fishing just to the right of the platform with a few loose pellets and a Prawn on a size 12 hook for the last hour of the day. Just drop yout bait and hold on to your rod / pole as a bite will come and it will be a very fash one. Out and about we went to Skeg Vegas, Coningsby Castle ( well worth a visit ) and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hanger at RAF Coningsby, I highly recommend this to visit. The Planes, Yes they are noisy but only for a short time, they go out in the morning, return at lunchtime, go out again mid afternoon and return around 5pm. Personally I loved watching Typhoons flying in and out. we also saw the BBMF practising for their royal performance on the Wednesday. To see and hear a Lancaster, two spitfire's and two Hurricane's is an amazing sight to see and to hear the Lancaster starting up when we visited the BBME at close quarters was one of those in awe moments you have in life. Thank's Kim for allowing us to stay in your fantasic Lodge, we very much enjoyed our stay and may be back sooner rather than later.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely comments, it was a pleasure to meet such a nice couple who appreciated the lodge and all it had to offer. You will be made very welcome any time that you plan to return, hope to see you again soon. xxx
