Tattershall Lakes Country Park is situated in the heart of Lincolnshire. This is a rural county on the east coast of England, which is home to over a million people. It enjoys a mild climate with low rainfall, and some of the flattest terrain in the country.

Lincolnshire's seaside area is called the funcoast and when you visit you will see why. With towns like Skegness, Mablethorpe, Chapel St. Leonards, Ingoldmells, Sutton on Sea and Trusthorpe. You will find resorts with award winning beaches, fabulous fun, knockout nightlife and the picturesque market towns.

Ingoldmells is colourful, fast and exciting! If you are a fearless roller coaster rider take a trip on the Millennium Roller Coaster at Fantasy Island, the longest looping coaster in Europe; or Jubilee Odyssey the world's longest suspended roller coaster with the steepest drop in Europe. There's an amazing array of theme park rides, thrills and experiences just waiting to be discovered as well as spectacular shows for kids. Take a break from the rides and wander around the vast market at Ingoldmells, the largest market in Europe that is open seven days a week. Also located in Ingoldmells is the fabulous re-developed Butlins with its majestic dome of the Skyline Pavilion. It is a fantastic day out for the family. Butlins offers all weather multi-sports courts, the Fun Splash, the Odeon Cinema, a fantastic array of foods, and more. If you fancy a quieter day out then Hardy's Animal Farm is a firm favourite, you will find little furry friends, birds and farm creatures as well as an adventure play park for kids.

Skegness - Lincolnshire's premier resort, with an award winning six mile long beach and many superb attractions. Two fun fairs, gardens, golf courses, theatres, ballrooms, swimming pools and bowling greens. The Illuminations - from mid summer, you can enjoy the spectacle of the illuminations setting the sea-front alight with colour and festivities. The Embassy Centre Theatre, Grand Parade - an entertainment centre, with superb star name shows every night of the season. Natureland Seal Sanctuary, North Parade - a specialised collection of animals including a seal sanctuary. Skegness Stadium, Orby - stock car and banger racing every Wednesday evening.

North of the park is Lincoln, once visited you will see that few cities can match Lincoln’s mixture of ancient and modern. True, your first view of the city will be dominated by its glorious, honey-coloured cathedral perched high on a limestone escarpment – and if it’s cobbled streets, tranquillity and a good dose of Roman and Medieval history you’re after, head straight up the hill towards it. There is nothing more relaxing than a leisurely stroll around the Brayford Waterfront. Don't forget to stop at the sculptures or enjoy the area from the public viewing deck. This area offers a diverse range of restaurants. You will find both formal and informal venues here, depending on your occasion. Venues vary from a traditional British chained pub to more unique restaurants. All dining venues offer good quality food at reasonable prices. Two companies operate boat trips each take passengers to the West of the City.

With many other towns and attractions to see this is an area definitely worth a visit.

Tattershall

Tattershall is situated on the southern edge of the Wolds, an attractive town dominated by its castle.

Tattershall Castle - built by the 3rd Lord Cromwell and restored in this century, is a magnificent medieval red brick tower, and a landmark of the Fens, which can be seen for miles around. This 14th century fortified house, now in the care of the National Trust, is a splendid example of medieval brick building.

Adjoining Tattershall is the village of Coningsby.

Coningsby - home to a busy RAF base, as well as the historic aircraft of the Memorial Flight.
Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre - a living tribute to all RAF air and ground crew who gave their lives in World War II. A Lancaster, Dakota, two Hurricanes and five Spitfires can be seen in their hanger.

The Church of St. Michael - is notable for its huge and unique single-handed clock face. The face is 16.5 feet in diameter, the largest one-handed clock face in the world.

“Amazing place”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2016

We have just got back from our 2nd visit to Bluetit Lodge, I can't put it into words what a lovely place it is.Waking up in the morning, with the spectacular view across the lake towards the castle is breath taking. Breakfast outside every morning, followed with a dip in the hot tub... What more could you ask for! The owners are so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We are looking to book to go back soon. Thank you Gary and Alison for another fantastic stay.

Lovely to have you back again Gary & Allison

“Fabulous lodge, ideal for a girlie break!”

Second time we have been to Bluetit, it has everything you need for an excellent break - from relaxing in the spa to the more energetic trampoline and WII. It makes a fab place for myself and 7 lady friends to get away for a few days.

Really glad you enjoyed your return visit to Bluetit Lodge. Thank you very much for leaving the lodge in a great state. Its guests like you that makes it worth while renting the lodge out. Hope to see you again

“Fantastic lodge in a great location with everything you need”

Booking: Debbie and Dean were very helpful and informative throughout the whole booking process. Lodge: On arrival, the lodge was immaculate and we were over the moon with the location and facilities cosidering the price we paid. The lodge is right on the jetski lake edge- which was great for an evening dip to cool off. Tattershall Park: There is so much going on at Tattershall Lake Country park and we got involved in the jet-skiing and evening entertainment. There was even an accoustic guitar player Saturday afternoon- which was great to enjoy in the sunshine with a glass of Pimms.

Thank you very much for your great review. We are really glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to maybe seeing you again.

“fantastic break - clean, tidy, relaxed, everything you could wish for!!”

I booked Bluetit lodge for my friends 30th birthday and there were 10 of us in total. I was worried at first we might get bored and be struggling for things to do - how wrong I was!! We didn't have enough time to fit everything in and we all wished we could have stayed longer. We had a brilliant time and had everything we needed it was home from home and by the end of the weekend we felt relaxed, revived and refreshed. All of us said we would definitely come back and me and my husband have booked another stay this year on the country park!!

Thank you very much for your very positive review. Also thank you for taking care of the lodge as if it was your own, we really appreciate it. We look forward to seeing you again.

“WOW”

Fantastic weekend away with the girls, I've got to say we always try getting together for a weekend away every year usually to Blackpool where the night life is, but this year I wanted something a little more special because I was celebrating my 40th birthday and what a treat it was, It was absolutely beautiful with everything you need in 1 place, we even went to the pub and after 2 drinks we all wanted to go back to the cabin. Its not often you find a place that feels like home but thats just what this cabin offered. my only regret is that we had to leave early for work and never got to thank the owners properly. We will be sorting a date when we can all go again and I hope we will be welcomed again.

thank you very much for the great comments and thank you for leaving the lodge really tidy for us. Its a real pleasure having guests like yourselves that treat the lodge like we would. We really hope to see you soon.

“Amazing cabin with everything you can think of”

Had an amazing time with my friends it ended up being only 3 of us but i can honestly say i picked the right cabin as it is hard when picking for others but we all enjoyed it. We had great fun with the Wii, Pool Table, DVD Collection, Trampoline and moslty loved the hot tub at the night looking at the lake. Owners very friendly and great communication we had rules that we followed to ensure our deposit back quite simply really but i would do the same if my holiday home was as nice as that. They thought of everything down to the tea and coffee and the cleaning products for our stay. I would tell anyone i know if they are wanting a amazing cabin with so much to do then pick this one as i am going to visit again. The site is really nice too and everyone friendly on it.

Thank you very much Hannah for the great review and thank you for leaving the lodge very clean and tidy for us. I am really glad you enjoyed your stay as we do try to give our guests the best we can. we hope to see you again.

“Excellent stay - Would love to go back”

We stayed in the log cabin for a long weekend during December and we had a fantastic time. The facilities are great, it had everything we needed. Sky TV, pool table, table tennis, wii, trampoline and a brilliant lounge and kitchen. The hot tub and the lake view made the holiday, it was nice to chill out in there and watch the sun set. From inquiring to booking, Dean the owner was very helpful. We definitely recommend and would love to go back.

Thank you very much for your review and I am really glad that you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you soon.

“Great holiday but was left with a bitter taste...would not return!”

Reviewed 31 Dec 2012

This was our second stay at Bluetit Lodge. We were two families very well catered for. Bedroom for the kids is adequate, small and compact. The lodge had everything you would need, Dean was at the end of the phone when you needed anything. After our first visit we had an email from Dean to thank us for leaving the lodge in such a clean state and the cleaner (his partner) was over the moon that we had even stripped all the beds...we quickly booked up our second break at the lodge. Which leads us on to our departure after our second visit. Again we had had a fab time, throughly cleaned through and stripped beds, cleaned bbq and again was thanked by the cleaners. Then the bombshell a week after we got home..Dean was holding part of our deposit because apparently the inside lid of the bbq still had grease on it!! We were horrified, my husband had cleaned all the trays and grills, replaced the foil and wiped over the lid..but that wasnt good enough. We were very disappointed, and because of this we would not return or indeed recommend this lodge now. You are on a no win with the deposit unless you take pics of everything before you leave and have it verified by the cleaners on departure. Great place, great location.. but left with a very bitter taste...a shame for us all.

Thank you for your review. You are correct in that I did contact you the first time and thank you for leaving the lodge in great state because I like to show our appreciation to our guests. This time however was different. We do explain that the gas barbecue is free to use but there is a charge of £15 to clean it if left dirty. Just changing the foil underneath isn't cleaning it but masking the dirt. There was no attempt to clean the inside and it took my wife around an hour to get up to our standards. I am very sorry that you have decided to not return as the main of our guests are ones that have returned or we have been recommended to. We do have a few guidelines that we ask our guests to follow and the minority of guests that are not willing to follow them maybe would be asked not to return anyway.

“weekend break away”

Reviewed 16 Nov 2012

Cabin is in a lovely location with lovely views. Although noisy week days from the planes that take off near by. The cabin has all the ammenities you may need. DVD, tv, dishwasher , etc. We had a relaxing couple of days and were considering returning until it came to returning deposit a dispute over the hot tub lead to a portion of our deposit being kept.my advise would be to take photos of cabin before you leave because you have no leg to stand on otherwise. While dean was helpfull it was ultimatly only resolved by us loosing some.of my deposit as I had no photographic proof. This put a dampner on our weekend away and as a result would not return.

Thank you for your review. Im glad that you feel the lodge itself is great because we do try to give our guests the best of everything. That is why we ask our guests to treat it with respect and follow the guidelines that we set. One of the guidelines is the hot tub, they are very delicate and if treat wrongly would cause the following guests to be without it. This was the case following your vist as the hot ub was not re filled to the correct level and was basically filthy. The hot tub had to be emptied and cleaned, it then takes up to 12 hours to fill so would not be ready for the evening of you departure. This was all explained in the booking forms and in the years that we have been renting the lodge out have only kept 2 deposits for this reason. This is the only bad feedback we have so I think that speaks for itself.
