“Shoveler lodge 5, the green tattershall”

Reviewed 1 Dec 2016

Very nice lodge with all the facilities sky tv, modern appliances, a REAL log burner, hot tub(amazing). There is plenty to do with just a few minutes walk to the clubhouse for entertainment and restaurants aswell as the leisure centre and children's park. Back to the lodge it self is kept clean and tidy and furnished to a high standard. Thanks to Gary(owner) for our stay.

An excellent lodge with a lovely hot tub and log burner. Throughly enjoyed our break. The owner Gary was always available to help. Would definitely book again

“Short break”

Reviewed 1 Oct 2016

A wonderfully clean and well equipped lodge. Owner and housekeeper very attentive. Would like to try it in the summer months to see if there are any problems with blossom from the trees. Had a nice relaxing holiday.

“Superb holiday”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2016

Me, my husband, four children and dog have just got back from here after a brilliant weeks holiday. The lodge is lovely and having the hot tub with it makes it all the more brilliant. Gary who owns the lodge is a very nice man. We are hoping to go back again next year with the children but not the dog this time as she did fret with all the tornados going off from near by. My boys loved it though

“Baby's first holiday”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2016

Booked Shoveler Lodge for our baby's first holiday (14 months old). Lodge was perfect - very well presented, clean and child friendly. Travel cot and high chair were available and the cot fitted easily into second bedroom. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and also a washer/dryer, which was a godsend! The hot tub was great to unwind in once the baby was in bed. There was also sky tv, DVD player, wii and various board games provided, which would easily keep older kids entertained. The lodge is located only a couple of hundred yards from the main park buildings (bars, restaurant, play areas, etc.), but there is no noise at all, so the best of both worlds. Gary the owner was very friendly and helpful, and obviously takes great pride in providing outstanding accommodation. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

“Perfect relaxation!”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2013

The purpose of the break was to kick back and relax having just had a baby. The lodge is situated in an ideal location of the park being next to lakes and the amenities a stones throw away. The lodge is kept extremely clean and is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay and the big bonus was the hot tub which is a very relaxing treat, especially at night with the additional lights. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner 'Gary' who is a very lovely man and was only a phone call away if we had any problems (which we did not). Would definitely stay again and was made to feel very welcome. Would also recommend Tattershall Park Pub and Kitchen (www.probably the best pub in the world.com) for food which can be found at the entrance of the Park; exceptional food. Thanks again Gary for everything.

“Absolutely divine!!!!”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2013

I stayed here last weekend with my mum, sister, daughter and my daughters friend, we had a lovely weekend, the weather was cold and snowing, but that just added to the weekend of relaxation we all wanted :) the cabin is excellent, the photos on here show that, but in real life its just as nice, clean, spacious, every single thing you could want, the hot tub was an added bonus, lovely at the end of the day to jump into and relax in, and when it snowed it was fantastic, sitting in hot bubbles watching the cold snow..... It was a perfect weekend to book as it was quiet on the site, which is what we wanted, so we all locked ourselves in the cabin and made use of the dvd player by having an entire twilight weekend, it was warm, cosy and so relaxing!!! Gary is a pleasure to speak too, he really makes you feel welcome about staying, if you have any problems which I didnt, I knew he would be at the end of the phone, I found it so easy to book this cabin and the whole experience was perfect! I have found somewhere I know I want to go back to again and again and like the other reviews on here I will be booking again for this year, this in itself shows what a perfect place to spend the weekend or week it is :) Everyone of us enjoyed it,we laughed non stop the entire time, because we all felt so relaxed and at home, thank you so much Gary and Chris for a wonderful time and we will certainly be coming back :)

“perfect for relaxation, leisure and enjoying nature”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2012

Gary was a perfect host, very helpful and informative. The property was very well equipped, lots of games and jigsaws, really comfy bed and some nice little special touches like the water filter jug. The hot tub was keot extremelly clean which is very important it was also a really good temperature and although we didnt use it a BBQ. The site has some great walks which was perfect for us and our dog. The leisure centre was great for me as I love to swim and my husband got in some fishing. What more could you ask for? Oh yes the lovely ducky couples visiting in the morning to help with breakfast. We will definately go back to this lodge it had everything we wanted for our much needed break, I just hope it doesnt become too popular and there is no space in Gary's calender for us. Thanks Gary
