Luxury semi-detached cottage (Visit Scotland 4 star rated self-catering cottage) in magnificent setting with stunning views within Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Sleeps six adults in three bedrooms, one double and two large twins * en-suite to double bedroom*

Ideal base for walking/climbing (Arrochar Alps), cycling, sight-seeing, watersports or just rest and relaxation!

Layout

Ground floor - Entrance hall, bathroom with separate bath, open plan lounge/kitchen (dishwasher,fridge and separate freezer,cooker,microwave,washer dryer, iron),/diner and double bedroom with en-suite shower/toilet/wash basin at rear.

Upper floor - 2 large twin bedrooms.

Extra wide doorways on ground floor give good buggy/wheelchair access. Ramp to front door from car.

40 minutes drive from Glasgow airport, also on inter-city bus and rail route.

Cottage is in quiet country location, close to nature yet only 5 minutes walk to Loch Lomond and Tarbet Pier which has - visitor's centre, tearooms, bar, restaurant, picnic area and loch cruises. Two minutes walk to the local Slanj Restaurant/Bar, beer garden. Which has an excellent menu served in the rustic surroundings of an 18th Century former church.

Approximately 1 mile to Arrochar where you can find local supermarkets/shops/pubs/restaurants/take-away fish and chips/petrol station etc.

Bedroom two has flat screen tv and satellite receiver.

Singles can be pushed together for couples.

High chair and travel cot available (bring your own bedding for this to comply with health and safety regulations)

Wi-fi, CD/Radio/ipod dock.

Large rear decking area has table with seating for 8 people. Bar-b-q (taking disposable ones)

Books, DVD's, games, CD's, walking routes, maps etc. available for guests use.

There is a beautiful burn within the grounds of the cottages.

Minimum stay 3 nights. Phone/email with your requirements for a quotation.

Larger groups (up to 18 adults) may be able to be accommodated. Phone/email with your requirements.

Guests staying for 4 nights or more receive a complimentary welcome pack.

Clan MacFarlane - between the cottages and The Ballyhennan restaurant is a burial ground where several of the MacFarlane clan chiefs lie.

We have recently had the lounge, hall and stairs re=carpeted with MacFarlane hunting tartan. There is a book and other information in the cottage about this local clan.

Should you ever need it (we hope you don't), our local cottage manager, Anne, will always be pleased to help.

This was a lovely and very comfortable base for our stay in the area with 3 generations of our family. Only complaint was very poor wifi which was an issue for some of us in the evening.

Why can't I call Denise (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Denise (the owner) a message.

If Denise (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
