“Perfect cottage in an ideal location”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2018

Beautiful cottage with stunning views over the mountain to the front. Location is perfect for Loch Lomond, easily accessible yet quiet and peaceful. Lots of room to park. Excellent facilities in the cottage. Very clean and very comfortable, warm and cosy - everything has been thought of. We'll be visiting again!

The cottage was an amazing stay, everything was included which made things a lot easier. Just an addition to having great owners also.

Owner's reply: I am pleased to hear that you had a great stay. Thanks for being great guests. Lynda

“Our first Scottish visit”

Reviewed 28 May 2017

As the title above says this was our first visit to Scotland, we arrived int he afternoon and were absolutely delighted with the cottage, Lynda had left milk, bread, etc as a welcome pack which was much appreciated as supermarkets and shops are quite a distance away. The cottage was like a home from home experience, it was clean well supplied and in a great location to travel out to other places in Scotland, it is situated very near to loch lomand which was, a two minute walk away. We travelled to many places including Glencoe, Oban, Falloch falls, fort William all of which are great places to visit, we also visitied many of the small villages in and around loch Lomand Luss being our favourite. We ate at a couple of the surrounding inn and hotels, including Drovers inn, Inn on the loch and the Village inn, the only one that was a disappointment was the Slang which is such a shame as it's right next door to the cottage, the owners were lovely but the food was down right awful, although saying that it may have been a one off. The only thing I would say is be prepared to travel if you want to eat out and be prepared with supplies for the cottage as supermarkets are quite a distance away. Would I stay again, definitely, we have got home and I can honestly say I fell like I've had a holiday.

Owner's reply: Thank you. I am delighted that you enjoyed your time at the cottage and were able to explore Scotland. Sounds like you fitted a lot in and still managed to relax too. It is disappointing that the food at Slanj was poor, as a couple of previous guests had a good experience there. The other places are all very good. Would be lovely to welcome you back to Ben Reoch Cottage again in the future, as I am sure there is lots you didn't get to do. Thank you for choosing Ben Reoch Cottage. Best wishes Lynda

“Fantastic stay”

Reviewed 2 May 2017

Very clean and well-equipped cottage. Great location specially if you would like to visit highlands. Beautiful view facing mountain. Would definitely go back.

Owner's reply: Thank you. I am delighted that you had a great time at the cottage. Hopefully you can visit again in the future. Kind regards Lynda

“Nice cottage, well furnished, clean and modern”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2013

My wife & I stayed here in July 2013 with our 2 children aged 9 & 6. Cottage was great, with 3 bedrooms so the children could have one each if they wanted. Kitchen lounge area was good and bathroom was clean with good modern fittings, shower & bath - and big enough for a "family bathroom". Well equipped with TV, free wifi, iPod docking station and good cooker, microwave etc in the kitchen ( though no dishwasher - which I overlooked when booking) The location is great and well placed to go North to explore the Highlands, South to go to Glasgow or stay local to spend time around Loch Lomond. Views from front Of cottage are stunning. To the rear is a small wooden decking with some steep rocks behind which is not meant to be played on by children. Another big bonus is there are lots of lovely walks close by. Downsides - not many apart from the fact that if you want to eat out locally, there is not really anything within walking distance. Overall: highly recommended. I would (will) stay here again.
