From the owner

New to the market in September 2018, our property is a luxury Self Catering property for couples on West Loch, Tarbert providing an ideal base to explore the beaches of South Harris & a stone ​'​s throw away from the famous Isle of Harris Distillery which produces the award winning Isle of Harris Gin.

We are a newly refurbished one bedroom property, with a fully equipped Kitchen, Lounge with a Real Flame Gas Fire, Smart TV (Free Netflix & Freeview), unlimited BT Fibre Optic Broadband, a Drying/Utility Room, a Cinema Room with a 93” Screen & Movie Library, Spa Room with a Twin Jacuzzi, Twin Sauna and Amazon Multi-Room Speaker system.

So after a day of exploring what Harris & Lewis have to offer, you can come home and relax in the Spa Room listening to your favourite music, cook a nice romantic meal before settling down to watch a movie. We will also consider pets by prior agreement. Please note that there is a contained outdoor area to the rear of the cottage.

We charge a £100.00 Good Housekeeping Deposit to cover any damage or breakages, which is refundable on the day following your departure, subject to there being no damages. We operate a strictly Non-Smoking policy (including E-cigarettes) in or around the property. An additional cleaning charge of £100 will be made to those who fail to observe this rule.
We will consider pets by prior agreement and charge £25.00 per week, per pet.

I'm sure you will have made many memories to keep you going until your next visit. We’re delighted that you felt at home in the cottage as our intention was to create a home from home for our guests. The welcome pack is just a wee thank you to our guests for choosing to stay with us. Being so close to the ferry terminal was one of the reasons we chose the cottage as people travel from all over the UK and beyond to visit Harris, so it's great that it's only a 2 minute drive to the cottage once off the ferry. So glad you got to explore Lewis and Harris where the beaches are stunning and Lewis has so much to see and do. The cottage is the perfect place to relax in after a busy day out and about and the Cinema Room is a firm favourite with all our guests. Our dogs, like Poppy also love the view over the West Loch and just love to sit and watch for ages. We do hope that you get back for a visit on the not too distant future. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

We’ll automatically charge the balance payment to the same payment method 10 days before it’s due. Go to Manage my holiday booking to see when the payment will be taken.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Neil and Leigh Anne (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Neil and Leigh Anne (the owner) a message.

If Neil and Leigh Anne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
