Location description from owner

The Istria region

Istria, has often been called a Little Tuscany surrounded by the Sea. Istria is the heart shaped peninsula of Croatia. It is a 1 hour drive from Italy.

Tar

Rogovici offers a relaxing retreat from City life, your own private style Olive trees & rolling hills panorama and distant views of the sea. The house has an exclusive walled garden and pool. For variety there is a small playground for children. As you come into Rogovici there is a farmer who sells his fruits, vegetables, olive oil and wine.

Tar is larger with several restaraunts and bars as well as 2 grocery stores.

On a larger scale there is the city of Porec. Many people have visited Porec, situated on the west Istrian coast on the Adriatic Sea facing Italy, and wondered at its natural beauty. Porec is cultural as well as beautiful and is the home of UNESCO's Euphrasian Basilica and the Romanesque House monuments. Porec is also a town of good wine, olive oil and Istrian "Pršut" - smoked ham and cheese. Friends on a recent visit said of their holiday that they were loathed to tell others of the beauty of the place, for fear it would become too popular!

Porec has plenty of bars, night clubs and restaurants as well as numerous hotels, apartments and beaches making Porec an excellent holiday destination. In addition organized tours can take you to Venice, the Istrian Islands of Briuni and the old Roman town and amphitheatre of Pula.

“Second Time Here”

Reviewed 13 Apr 2015

Great place to spend quality time with family, this is our second time at this property, we wanted to get away and have some time just us as a family without lots of distractions surrounding us. Last year we were in Disney and just needed a holiday after this and found we really didn't spend much time as a family together. Decided after our first trip to return here. Town has changed since the last visit with more offering. Great place to go and be together as a family, family meals and pool time.

“Fantastic trip, can't wait to stay again”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2015

Thank you for a wonderful trip. We stayed in September last year (2014) and had a wonderful time. The house was a great size and as a group we had plenty of space to chill out and relax. The pool was lovely and warm and there was lots to do and see. We will be planning another trip later this year and would highly recommend this place to all our friends.

“Fabulous few weeks at Villa Serenitas, Istria, Croatia - really recommend it if you want a beautiful villa and pool!”

Reviewed 8 Apr 2015

We had a lovely few weeks in Villa Serenitas, Istria - it really is the perfect place to relax with a group in the beautiful rolling Istria hills! We found the Villa had everything we could possibly need - great living space, beautiful big bathrooms, well equiped kitchen and fabulous pool which is magical lit up at night for parties! The Villa is the perfect spot to base yourself for exploring Istria whether it be Motivan, Porec or Pula - all easy to get to. Local organic produce was fantastic and good value so food was easy. We throughly enjoyed our stay in a lovely country and will be returning again!

“Villa Seenitas”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2014

Deeply chilled out, relaxing time spent in Villa Serenitas, with friends & family, end June. ;-)) (Are all villa rentals in Croatia as good?) Overall, very impressed - only a few minor nice-to-haves would have topped it off.

“Our family trip”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2014

My family (9 in total) really wanted to get away and stay somewhere peaceful and somewhere the kids could swim, be outside loads and be safe, and this place ticked the boxes. The pool was excellent, the house internally was really neat and tidy, everything worked and the raised covered patio perfect for the hot days and to see the views. The beach was also only about 10ish minutes drive. Definitely going to return.

“Relaxing, rural location within easy reach of local towns and coast”

Reviewed 8 May 2013

Had a wonderful stay in this well equipped villa with a group of friends. Would also be ideal for a large family. Tranquil location with great views over surrounding countryside with fantastic pool. It was an ideal base to explore local towns of Porec and Pula. Will definately be booking again with my family for 2013.
