Description

Slater Miners Cottage. A 1-bedroom terraced cottage. Sleeps 4. Self-Catering. The cottage has been refurbished to modern standards, but not so much as to lose all character of a Slate Miners cottage. Original features like the original slate floor in the lounge is beneath the carpet making the floor uneven. Wooden beams and large open fireplace with log-burner. and exposed stone walls have been retained. Hopefully, pictures give you a good feel for what the cottage is like.The cottage is Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who like walking and climbing and exploring. Walks begin from the cottage with climbs close by.. There are nearby attractions in Llechwedd Slate caverns where you can go underground and see the slate mines. Also featured there is Zip World and Bounce Below. Also close by is the world's first pumped storage hydro-electric system and the narrow gauge railway that used to take the slate to the ports, but now is a tourist ride with connection at Porthmadog going to
