The Souss-Massa-Draa Region
Agadir region, located in the southern part of Morocco along the coast, surrounded by the Atlas mountain range and Sahara desert, many natural parks and secluded beaches enjoy 340 days of sunshine a year.
Agadir is a modern tourist centre which enjoys the comforts and services of a western style tourist centre; offering splendid beaches, a variety of food and fantastic night life but located in easy reach of more traditional towns, villages and the countryside.
The glorious stretch of coastline offers plenty of opportunity for sun worshippers to soak up the sun and the more active to partake in a range of water sports such as surfing, sailing and fishing. Golf enthusiasts have a choice of 3 golf courses to choose from.
Discover the ancient civilisation of the Berbers which existed in Morocco thousands of years before Islam arrived, at the Museum of Folk Art of Southern Morocco situated in the city centre of Agadir.
Taghazout is a small rural fishing village about 20 km north of Agadir in the direction of Essaouira and full of it's own charm. The people here are Berber and they have customs and traditions quiet different to the Arabs of the rest of Morocco therefore they speak Berber rather than Arabic. French and English are also widely spoken as tourism plays a major part in the day to day life of Taghazout.
With it's narrow winding warren of streets and alleyways it will leave you bemused and excited, there are a number of small artifact shops nestling in these alleyways. On the main street of Taghazout are many cafes and restaurants small shops and a small supermarket where essentials can be purchased, there is a pharmacy at the beginning of the village. On the sea front where the small colourful fishing boats are beached you can have lunch in several cafes and just laze away the time one thing for sure nobody is in a rush here, time takes on a different meaning. Taghazout has 5 km of unspoilt beach you can stroll this at your leisure and in winter the rolling Atlantic waves makes this one of the best places in the world to surf with many break points.

- Very Good
“Stylish and charming. Great place to stay”
Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. Very stylishly decorated whilst respecting Morrocan charm. Brendan greeted us and even had a little meal ready for us. He gave us great advice as to what to see/where to eat etc. The house is spread out so our teenage kids had their own room downstairs and we weren't on top of each other. Views were stunning and the sound of the sea was lovely. Great beach only about 500m away. Surfing was fastastic (or so the kids said - my surfing days are over). Very quiet and relaxing. Thoroughly recommended.
“No where else in Taghazout compares!”
I don't think there is a finer place to stay in Taghazout, the house looks better in real life than the photos! The kitchen was well equiped with mod cons and there was lots of M&S condiments to aid our cooking. The quality of furnishings are second to none and the modern twist on a traditional Moroccan interior looks fantastic and is very comfortable. Every morning we woke up to the sound of waves laping outside our bedroom window and the sun coming up over the ocean. The roof terrace is very private and we spent many an evening sitting on the roof top just watching the sun go down with a beer. The owner is very helpful and enthusiatic, he sorted us out with surfboards....a very good deal on car hire and even invited us over for BBQ. We hope to be back in the Autumn!
