Hendre Fechan Cottage is a 1616 century cottage built from traditional Welsh stone, the Welsh Tourist Board has graded it as 4 stars. It is newly refurnished in a tasteful manner, surrounded by beautiful countryside, sea views and old buildings. Based in Tal-y-Bont, we have been welcoming guests since March 2010.

This beautiful cottage is half a mile from the main road and is situated on an equestrian property in the beautiful countryside of Snowdonia National Park. We are four miles from the seaside town of Barmouth and 1 mile from the small country town of Tal-y-Bont.

It is a mile from the beautiful sandy Beaches, which you can view from the front room, bedroom and garden.

The area is perfect for walking holidays with miles of footpaths starting from your front door into the surrounding hills and countryside. If you have dogs they will love it!!

There is plenty of fishing in the area, fresh water and sea water.

A cycling track at the bottom of our lane straight into Barmouth and Tal-y-Bont, for the more adventurous there are miles of Bridleways to take your bike for a proper spin.

The whole property is centrally heated with no additional charge for electricity or heating, which is included in the rental cost. Sky tv

If you bring a dog we do have a enclosed garden area for non escape artist pups. Please note that there is an additional charge for dogs. Prices are detailed below.

The parking is 40 meters from the parking area and there is three steps up to the cottage.

Price Information:

£155.00 for short breaks low season.

£550 per week high season.

Dogs £25.00 for first dog, then £10 per dog after.

Babies/infants £25 per person.

There is a sea view from all the front windows in the cottage. The garden is enclosed, so most dogs have their own place depending on their wall jumping abilities.Please note that dogs must not be left in the cottage unattended unless you have brought your own container for them. You have your own private parking. Please also note that the road leading up to the property is a drivable farm track not tarmac.

Getting around

The best way to get about is using your own car to get about. The bus stop is at the end of our 1/2 mile farm lane. Train station is 2 miles down the road or a main station 4 miles down the road in Barmouth. Taxis are plenty available in this area.

Very well behaved dogs are allowed. We do ask for them to be supervised and a lot of barking controlled. Please do not leave you dog unattended. No Dogs are allowed on the bed.

Secluded rural location but in easy reach of fabulous sandy beaches and all that Snowdonia National Park has to offer. Well equipped cottage scrupulously clean and a friendly welcome. We definitely plan to come again.

Lovely 1 bedroomed cottage near Tal-y-bont. Beach only a couple of minutes drive away and Barmouth a few miles down the road. Nice, secluded location. Thanks for the wine too, a nice touch!

Cottage is lovely , very clean and well equipped. Enclosed garden was perfect for our little dog. Barmouth is a nice little town , the beach is huge . Enjoyed our stay as the cottage setting is very tranquil. Samantha J is very friendly and helpful.

What a great place to stay the cottage had all you could need, and was really comfortable and what a view it has from all the windows. There are some great walks to go on with your dog and garden is enclosed so he/she can roam with out having to worry.Sam and husband where very nice and very help full, we will be going back its a little peace of heaven all i can say is thank you so very much .
