Spacious and light this property offers those in wheel chairs plenty of room for easy movement and access to bedrooms, en-suite shower rooms and outside onto the veranda.

Dog friendly there is no need to leave your four-legged friend behind, the property welcomes dogs free of charge, and there is an outside shower on the veranda to wash off muddy paws!

Each bedroom is perfection with its own Smart TV, storage, hanging space and a desk. Both rooms have their own patio doors to the veranda and en-suite bathrooms, both with bath and separate showers. Beds are bespoke, made in Devon to the highest quality and can be separated into twin beds on request. The master bedroom has individually electronically controlled mattresses for your complete comfort. All mattresses are luxury pocket sprung, and dressed with the best Egyptian Cotton linen and goose down duvets. Towels and bathrobes are also provided.

There is an enclosed garden, fenced with wire and posts, and an open pond, therefore care must be taken with children.

Close to the city of Exeter for shopping, meals out and entertainment, pretty coastal villages of East Devon are also within 20 minutes by car. There are plenty of excellent pubs serving food within a 5 mile radius.

The England region

This corner of East Devon is a walker’s paradise with stunning rolling countryside all around. The Blackdown Hills on the Devon and Somerset border form a beautiful landscape with pretty valleys, woodland and farmland offering tranquility and peace.

Dartmoor is also within easy reach, a great destination for walking, cycling or even horse riding! Exploring the granite tors, wild moorland and tiny hidden hamlets finishing at a good old fashioned pub for a pint at the end of the day. If you don’t fancy heading off on your own, why not join a guided tour, or enjoy the best of both worlds with an audio guide.

The owners also have two bicycles for guests to use, free of charge as well as secure storage for your own bicycles and a selection of m

Talaton

Ottery St Mary is just over 3 miles away; a pretty town with a good range of individual shops, pubs and cafes as well as a Sainsbury’s supermarket. The town is most famous for its traditional burning of Tar Barrels every year held on the 5th November (participation is not obligatory).

For foodies

If country pubs are your thing then you are in luck as there are some fabulous hostelries nearby. The Five Bells at Clyst Hydon and The Jack in The Green at Rockbeare both come highly recommended for top notch gastropub cuisine. For more simple fayre you can head out on foot to The Thirsty Farmer at Whimple just 2 miles away.

Exeter has a wide choice of restaurants and for a more indulgent date we recommend you try Michael Caines at Abode or Harry’s restaurant in the city. High heels optional! In 2016 The Pig at Combe opens its doors, part of the eponymous hotel group offering rooms and kitchen garden food, it is sure to be another great option.

For something more unusual how about a hot air balloon ride with Aerosaurus Ballooning at Whimple?!

A fabulous day out

A great option for little ones Escot Park and gardens are only a mile away offering a day of nature and the great outdoors! The 220 acres of parkland are home to wildlife including peacocks, red squirrels and birds of prey that feature in falconry displays. There is even a re-creation of an Anglo-Saxon village onsite. The National Trust owned Killerton House is also nearby; a fine 18th Century house and landscape garden, it is home to an historical fashion collection too.

We highly recommend a day in Exeter. The historic and attractive centre around the dramatic gothic cathedral is very easy to tour on foot and there are some superb restaurants and shops on offer too.

Beach lovers should head south to the Jurassic coast to Seaton, Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton or Lyme Regis for some good old fashioned seaside fun.
