Further details indoors

The cosy sitting room has sofas, armchairs, an open fire and a flat screen Panasonic TV. The kitchen/diner has an ample supply of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. The oval dining table seats 6/8 comfortably and the wood burner gives a wonderful warmth whilst dining on a cold winter's evening.
There is a separate WC and hand wash basin downstairs, next to the ample utility room.
There are 2 double and 1 single bedroom which is large enough for a z bed if required. The double rooms have zip & link beds so can be used either set up as a double or two single beds.
The large bathroom has an overhead shower over the bath, plus a brand new high pressure walk in shower.
For added comfort our guests are provided with white towelling dressing gowns and bath towels. Every bed is made up with top quality, white, crisp bed linen.
The cottage has Freeview TV, free wi-fi connection and plenty of games to keep you occupied.

Further details outdoors

Outside there is a terraced area at the back of the cottage with a gas barbecue and table and chairs where guests can sit in privacy and enjoy a view of the church and adjoining fields.
The Old Post Office shop next to the cottage has been recently renovated as a games room and has table tennis, we have also added a trampoline in the garden for the younger members of your family.

The England region

The Old Post Office Cottage is located in the heart of Symondsbury Village, directly opposite Duck Street Cottage, the 2 can be booked together at a discounted price. Symondsbury has a local pub and church and is surrounded by some incredible scenery, including the famous Colmers HIll, which is definitely worth a walk to the top to experience the spectacular views. Symondsbury has the best of both worlds and really does give the visitor a chance to go back in time and experience traditional country village living, whilst being on the outskirts of a modern market town.

West Country

The Market town of Bridport is located 2 miles away with markets on both Wednesday and Saturday, there is also a very popular vintage market on Sundays. Bridport boasts a number of individual shops as well as Waitrose, Morrisons and Lidls. Bridport is famous for being a 'foodies' haven wth fantastic restaurants, bistros and tea rooms. There are plenty of artist studios to visit and galleries plus the Electric Palace Cinema which hosts live music and comedy nights.

The beautiful beaches and cliffs along the coast offer plenty of walks and fish restaurants.
