Duck Street Cottage provides luxury accommodation for 2. It is perfectly located in the heart of Symondsbury village with a traditional pub and beautiful walks straight from the door. Ideal for couples or friends looking for a cosy cottage in West Dorset. Free wi-fi and dogs welcome.

Although it’s Grade II listed, we have converted and renovated it to a high standard so it provides all the comfort guests require.

Shops at Manor Yard and our Café, Symondsbury Kitchen are a very short walk away, as is the pub and church. Duck Street cottage is a very popular get -away for couples.

The cottage has a spacious living room with an inglenook fireplace and a wood-burning stove. With access to free WIFI and a flat screen TV including Freeview and a DVD player, there is comfy seating as well as a dining table that seats four – perfect for a romantic meal provided by our catering services.

The large, luxury bedroom provides zip and link beds offering the choice of one king size bed or two singles. A z bed for a child or a cot can be provided.

The en-suite bathroom has a large bath with a separate power-shower unit. Tiled with luxurious travertine, the bathroom has a heated towel rail and plenty of cupboard space.

The cottage offers a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, hob and oven, large fridge-freezer, microwave, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils and storage space.

We provide crisp white linen for beds, white fluffy towels and dressing gowns. Linen is not provided for the cot. The cottage is cleaned and managed by our team to a very high standard.

Leading out from the kitchen, the pretty cottage garden offers privacy perfect for outside dining. There is also a gas barbeque for the summer months. There is parking available in Duck Street outside the cottage.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
