For the safety and peace of mind of our guests and staff, during the Covid19 pandemic we have implemented the folowing (revised 01/05/21):

* 72 hours gap leftbetween stays, whenever possible

* Sanitizer will be provided to be used every time anyone enters the cottage

* Antibacterial hand wash will be provided

* Deep cleaning will be carried out between stays using disinfectants as per government guidelines

* All linens provided are washed at 60°c

* Self Check in using Key Safe

Weekend Short breaks for 3 or 4 days

Check in after 4pm either Friday, Saturday or Sunday

Midweek Short breaks for 3 or 4 days

Check in after 4pm Mondays only

Weekly for 7 nights

Check in after 4pm Fridays only

We now only take a 10% deposit and any balance is due 15 days prior to arrival in a relaxation of our terms

Sue's Cottage is the perfect location for a relaxing break or sports activities or just to explore the wonderful countryside and nature theatre of the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Symonds Yat is on the border of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and the Welsh county of Monmouthshire, making it the ideal base for exploring! Sue's Cottage is set in peaceful, landscaped gardens overlooking the River Wye and across to Symonds Yat Rock. This is a quiet spot with spectacular views. Whether you are looking for peace and tranquillity, or beautiful scenery, a river cruise or any number of other activities, walking, cycling, canoeing, rock climbing, to name a few, it's all here. Along with restaurants and tea rooms, you will find several riverside inns, serving locally produced food and ales, and all within walking distance! Just off the A40 halfway between the historic towns of Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, just five miles away, with many more attractions nearby. Book direct with the owner. The cottage is fully equipped to a high standard. Has 2 bedrooms and free internet access. 1 allocated parking bay in front of the cottage.

Dogs are accepted at an additional charge of £10 each.

Dogs are NOT permitted in the bedrooms.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send JUSTINE (the owner) a message.

If JUSTINE (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
