Description from owner

Description

Swarland Mill is situated in a beautiful part of the Northumbrian Countryside. The property is in a rural setting with the Swarland Burn running within the grounds, eventually running into the River Coquet. The nearest villages are Longframlington and Felton, both 2 miles away in opposite directions.

There is a large south facing front garden, and a terraced patio at the rear of the house. The house is surrounded by fields and is at the bottom of a valley, which makes the area very sheltered. The woods are abundant with wild flowers in springtime and beautiful ferns in summer, making this an ideal location for a peaceful undisturbed holiday.

This very attractive conversion of a former byre has a beautiful and very peaceful and secluded location, in the heart of rolling countryside yet within easy reach of the coast. There are 14 acres of fields and woods, and a burn runs within the property's grounds. An abundance of wildlife can be observed , and lovely walks

An abundance of wildlife can be observed , and lovely walks can be taken directly from the property through the woods and by the stream.

The property is approx. 15 mins drive to the coast and close to the Cheviot Hills and moors inland - an ideal central location from which to explore the whole county. The owners who live in the adjoining house keep the property and grounds in pristine condition.

“Lovely cottge”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2014

Had a lovely week. Cottage had everything we needed for our stay. The owners, who live next door, were very friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable about the area, giving us helpful advice about places to visit and things to do. There is a field where dogs are free to run along with walks from the door. Would highly recommend this cottage.
