The South Wales region

There is plenty to do and see in this part of the world. The cottage is only a short drive from the beautiful beaches of the Gower in Swansea and the breathtaking scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The wonderful and varied landscape of the Gower Peninsula (Welsh: Penrhyn Gwyr) was the first place in Britain to be designated as an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' (AONB) by the Countryside Agency on behalf of the UK government, and is one of only five within Wales. 2006 saw the Gower Peninsula celebrating its 50th year as an AONB, an accolade that has truly stood the test of time.

The Cottage is just 9 miles from the Liberty Stadium (Home to the Osperys and Swansea City Football club) making a superb base for travelling supporters and for all stadium music and events. There are many all weather attraction in the area including the Swimming Centre in Swansea with its 50 meter pool and slides and water rides, Dynamic Rock indoor climbing centre, Mega Bowl and the Waterfront Museum.
