Brand new in 2013 our log cabin has everything you need for a home from home self-catering holiday.

Beautifully presented our log cabin has it all, hot tub, 3D TV with surround sound and Sony DVD player, barbecue and covered outside dining area with fantastic views over open countryside to the Purbeck hills. The main bedroom is on-suite with large shower room, with enough wardrobes for Victoria Beckham, sliding doors onto veranda, TV, tea and coffee making.

The second bedroom has 2 full size single beds, TV, fitted wardrobes and vanity unit.

The kitchen has everything you could want, full height fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, 5 ring gas hob, split oven, washing machine with tumble dryer. Glass topped dining table with 4 high back chairs.

Open plan living area with 3D TV and surround sound, DVD,CD player, docking for Sony phone, freeview, board games sliding doors onto patio, there is an annexe off of the lounge with small settee which transforms into double bed, this room has double doors to isolate it and tv socket, also sliding doors onto patio.

Everything is supplied, bedding, towels basic toiletries, just bring yourselves.

A town for everyone, Swanage offers the perfect holiday, fantastic sandy blue flag beaches complete with Punch and Judy, stunning walks along the easily accessible Jurassic Coast and Durlston Park with its Victoriana, fine dining and great local restaurants and cafés, not to forget Swanage steam railway and the best carnival in the South.

Getting around

A car is probably the best way to get around the area as there is so much to see but public transport is plenty full and reliable with regular services to Poole and Bournemouth in an open top bus that takes you over Sandbanks ferry, that is certainly a must do. Cycling is also very popular with lots of country lanes and quiet roads which of course are great for walkers and we have lots of really good walks being at the beginning of the Jurassic coastal path.

Interaction with guest

Myself, Ron and my partner Jan live in Swanage about 5 minutes away from Lavender Leap and are always on hand to suggest things to do or places to visit. We have a key safe so you can let yourselves in and just do your own thing or we are more than happy to come over and show you round Lavender and make you feel at home. I call every day to check the hot tub so am always available for a chat.

Booked lavender leap to visit family in swanage , it was clean & comfortable & well equipped , including sky TV & wifi . As others have pointed out defiantly needs a gate at front of property which Ron said is in hand . Would defiantly book again .

“Beautiful accommodation! Didn't want to come home!”

We stayed at Lavender Leap for 4 nights as a family with our three daughters at the end of August. The lodge itself is just beautiful, a real home from home. It's so spacious and comfy with all the mod cons you could ask for. I chose to stay in and eat in every evening as it seems such a waste to go out when we had such a wonderful place to stay. The kitchen is great and has everything you need as well as a dishwasher. The kids loved the hot tub and the view from the back of the lodge is stunning. Lots of wildlife including a pheasant that ate food from our daughter's hands! Such a peaceful location, just stunning. All in all a fantastic place for a break. We always come to Swanage every year and would love to stay here now. We are already booking for next year. Thanks again to Ron.

If Ron (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
