“great british seaside holiday.”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2013

Recently had a multi-generational holiday to swanage. Comfortable accomodation in a great location under 5 minutes walk to Swanage beach and town centre. House had everything we needed, well stocked in games, books and utensils. Kitchen is a little small but it got me out of the washing up most days so not really complaining! Parking locally difficult- not a problem for us but might be if you had issues walking up hills, that said - only went out in the car a few times as the train and bus much more fun and everything else within walking distance. Swanage a lovely place with plenty to do in the area for all the family- castles, steam trains, walks, kayaking, Studland beaches, boats, red squirrels on Brownsea Island, fishing, pitch and putt and lovely fish and chips!

“fantastic location, great price!!”

We got here.. now we can relax !! I love victorian houses, the fixtures, fittings, big windows, and this one is fab.. good size bedrooms, enough room for husband and two boys...location is perfect, just grab your stuff.. walk down to the town/beach/restaurants.. wonderful.. once you are there you don't have to move around as everything is accessible. Yes would stay again.. price very reasonable too.

“Fantastic place to stay!”

The accommodation was fantastic for our family holiday. It was a perfect distance from the beach and town of Swanage. It's accessible for days out such as the Steam Train to Corfe Castle and the open top bus to Bournemouth. The house was clean, tidy and had tea/coffee and milk awaiting us on arrival. The view from the terrace is wonderful and in the evening a bottle of wine on the terrace was a perfect way to end the day. We'd definitely recommend this accommodation.

“Ideal location, close to beach, great for a family break.”

We love the fact that this property is within walking distance to everything you need......pubs, fish and chips, Italian restaurant, shops and the beach. Once we have unpacked we rarely use our car and tend to walk everywhere. (You can even organise your food delivery for when you arrive with Tescos!). Things to do locally include Swanage Steam Train rides to Corfe, crazy golf, amusements and a short walk up to the Lifeboat station. The house is well equipped with everything you need for the family....even a small patio area to have a barbecue when the weather is warm too! The views from the bathroom at the top are great.....the fact that you can see the sea whilst brushing your teeth! Overall, a clean, comfortable stay and lots of things to do for a family break.

“Excellent clean and comfortable accommodation close to everything we needed in Swanage”

We stayed at this property during the Easter weekend with our friends and their children. The house was warm and spotlessly clean. Our double bedroom was on the first floor and was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen is on the small side but adequate for our needs as we only cooked breakfast and made the occasional sandwich. What we particularly like about the house is that once we've parked the car we don't need it again until we leave. Swanage is a very charming seaside town and we come every year. Within walking distance are shops, restaurants and plenty of reasonably priced cafes. I can recommend Beavers for an informal setting and great food. The sandy beach in Swanage is wonderful but as this Easter was one of the coldest of records we chose to explore by foot and there is plenty to do and see on this Jurassic coast. The steam train is also within walking distance and is a wonderful asset to the town.
