“Gem of a cottage close to everything in Swanage”

Reviewed 29 Mar 2016

Lovely cottage, plenty big enough for 3 adults and 2 kids. They particularly loved the 'upstairs kids lounge' with pool table and chill out space to look out at the boats or the stars at night. Everything you need for a smashing stay, with thoughtful touches and lovely atmosphere. Would definitely return.

Delighted that you enjoyed your stay , just want to point out its not a full size pool table at house!

“Great place to stay”

Reviewed 19 Nov 2015

We had a great weekend in a lovely house within easy walking distance to beach and town. Lovely decor throughout the house with everything you could need. We highly recommend this house.

“Holiday In Swanage”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2015

We have just had an enjoyable and very comfortable weeks stay at no4 Townsend road Swanage. The house, which is owned and let by a very friendly couple named Alison and Gary is well furnished and equipped with everything you may require also a very good room for children at the top of the house. The house is very conveniently situated with a pub on the corner that serves good food and a shop about two minutes walk away that is open from 7am until 10 30pm that is well stocked. The town is about ten to fifteen minutes walk away ,we found it a friendly place with many shops cafes. From the station you may take a steam train ride to Corff Castle and Norden or catch a bus to various destinations. There are some lovely cliff top walks or you can just enjoy the town. We would thoroughly recommend the house and the area.,

“Fantastic House and Location”

Reviewed 17 Feb 2015

We've always loved coming to Swanage but in the past have stayed out of town. This fantastic location made it so easy to walk to shops, food, beach, everything! The car was hardly touched all weekend! The decor in the house is fabulous! There were so many extra thoughtful details and comforts that made the weekend relaxing and it is also very well equipped on a practical level. Comfortable seating, bed, pillows, an abundance of towels. Games, books, beach equipment, extensive kitchen equipment and all the things that are often forgotten: dishwaher tabs, cooking oil etc etc. The biggest hit for the children was the den in the loft. They loved it and disappeared to play whenever we were in the house. Alison was hugely helpful from first contact right through to checking we'd arrived OK. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here and we hope to return very soon.

“FABULOUS!!”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2015

We can only emphasise what has already been said in so many 1st class reviews. The cottage and location helped make this a truly wonderful New Year get away. Thank you Alison

“Home from Home”

Reviewed 27 Oct 2014

This was our second stay and won't be our last. This is top quality accommodation in a great location. There is just never enough time to squeeze everything in and it's all right on your doorstep. Welcoming, relaxing and homely.....perfect. Gavin & Gill.

“Wonderful”

Reviewed 29 Sep 2014

This is an amazing cottage in a great location in the lovely seaside resort of Swanage. The owner Alison was helpful, friendly and informative from the start of the booking process to the end of the stay (long weekend). The cottage is stylishly decorated, very comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly need. There is a lot of equipment available to borrow for the perfect beach holiday and lots of information about Swanage itself and local attractions. It is very clean and full of personal touches to make a special stay. We loved it and are planning our next visit.

“Great place to stay for a weekend or longer”

Reviewed 11 May 2014

I recently stayed at the cottage for a long weekend with a group of friends. We had a fantastic weekend and were really impressed with the presentation of the cottage. It was spacious and immaculate with lots of nice extras; a welcome package, plenty of games, DVDs and more. Would love to stay again!

“A charming stay”

Reviewed 7 Apr 2014

The property itself is well appointed and thoughtfully furnished throughout, as the photos and reviews elsewhere demonstrate. We found it to be very comfortable, with a real element of style - excellent value. We had no problem parking either right outside or just opposite the cottage, albeit we stayed just before the school holiday. The owner was very welcoming and could not have been more helpful, achieving the ideal balance between being well organised and available if needed whilst creating a relaxing place to stay. The cottage is well positioned for Swanage and as a base for the wider area. We could not recommend the overall experience more highly. Thank you!
