An attractive cottage built from Purbeck. Stone , full of character,situated in the oldest part of Swanage. Just 5 mins walk from the town centre, beach and Steam Railway. The house is perfect for families or couples wanting a cosy retreat. You can walk from house to coastal path , lighthouse so walkers love it too. It has a cosy a lounge,

separate dining room,TV with DVD player , good selection of DVDs , wi-fi. at house.

Separate kitchen with door leading to enclosed sunny garden.

Upstairs there is bathroom/wc, double bedroom, twin bedroom,and bedroom with built in bunk beds.

Steep staircase top floor (behind lockable door!) chill out room.kids love disappearing up here to escape and hang out.Has Sea views., Tv , mini pool table .

Swanage is an old fashioned seaside town with a Blue flag safe sandy beaches. A good mix of interesting shops and Galleries. Plenty of cafes,pubs and restuarants to choose from. A steam railway to Corfe Castle runs from the centre of the town.Take the footpaths from house to Dulston Castle and Country Park. National Nature Reserve at the end of the road. Local attractions include Studland Bay and other National Trust Beaches. Brownsea Island, Monkey World,The Tank Museum,The Blue Pool,Fossiling and rock pooling at Kimmeridge, Exploring the fabulous Jurassic Coast. Lulworth Cove and castle,Durdle Door, the Lost village of Tyneham.

“Fabulous!”

We very much enjoyed our stay. The cottage is in a quiet location but only a short walk from the town and beach. The Black Swan pub at the end of the road does great food, and the Love Cake cafe just down the road has the best cake and coffee in town. We loved the cottage decor, and enjoyed sitting in the sunny courtyard garden. Will definitely be coming back.

Alison’s cottage is beautifully decorated and in a great location. It was great having extras such as bucket and spades and boogie boards included as my little girl loved playing with these at Studland in the beach. You can see Alison takes great pride in providing a lovely place to stay, and was a really helpful host. We appreciated the welcome treats as well. Thank you Alison

Our stay in this house was excellent, house well equipped & very much home from home in a great location for exploring this stunning coastline. Our first stay in Dorset & we were not disappointed we did some great walks, the black swan round the corner served excellent food but must be booked well in advance. A lovely relaxing well needed weekend away, thank you Alison your house is fabulous.

This was our third holiday at this lovely holiday home. The cottage has a stylish contemporary feel and is well equipped with everything you could possibly need, (including Wifi) for a perfect holiday. The kids particularly love the 'secret room' at the top of the house, where they disappear for hours to watch TV or just chill. The garden area is perfect for al-fresco eating and relaxing at the end of the day with a chilled glass of wine.We were so lucky with the weather and made the most of the nearby sandy beaches, and the pub next door. We'll definitely be back!

The house is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. We all slept really well. Excellent location with a short walk to the beach, restaurants, shops etc. Alison was a perfect host. I highly recommend you have dinner at the Black Swan pub on the corner... be sure to book ahead. We'll definitely stay again. Thank you for a memorial stay.

Lovely cottage, plenty big enough for 3 adults and 2 kids. They particularly loved the 'upstairs kids lounge' with pool table and chill out space to look out at the boats or the stars at night. Everything you need for a smashing stay, with thoughtful touches and lovely atmosphere. Would definitely return.

We have just had an enjoyable and very comfortable weeks stay at no4 Townsend road Swanage. The house, which is owned and let by a very friendly couple named Alison and Gary is well furnished and equipped with everything you may require also a very good room for children at the top of the house. The house is very conveniently situated with a pub on the corner that serves good food and a shop about two minutes walk away that is open from 7am until 10 30pm that is well stocked. The town is about ten to fifteen minutes walk away ,we found it a friendly place with many shops cafes. From the station you may take a steam train ride to Corff Castle and Norden or catch a bus to various destinations. There are some lovely cliff top walks or you can just enjoy the town. We would thoroughly recommend the house and the area.,

We've always loved coming to Swanage but in the past have stayed out of town. This fantastic location made it so easy to walk to shops,food,beach,everything! The car was hardly touched all weekend! The decor in the house is fabulous! There were so many extra thoughtful details and comforts that made the weekend relaxing and it is also very well equipped on a practical level. Comfortable seating, bed, pillows, an abundance of towels. Games, books, beach equipment, extensive kitchen equipment and all the things that are often forgotten: dishwaher tabs,cooking oil etc etc. The biggest hit for the children was the den in the loft. They loved it and disappeared to play whenever we were in the house. Alison was hugely helpful from first contact right through to checking we'd arrived OK. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here and we hope to return very soon.

How do damage deposits work?
