"Overall it's very welcoming, comfortable and brilliant value for money!"
We have stayed in the self-catering apartment at The Old Rectory in Beachamwell a few times and the owners always make us very welcome. The apartment is attached to the main house and they are normally on hand to provide advice on amenities and activities and to sort any problems or issues (not that we have had many!). The apartment is well equipped with both consumables (salt & pepper, washing up liquid etc) and appliances/utensils - we just take food and are ready to go. The furnishing style is idiosyncratic but it was very clean and comfortable in both winter and summer months. When the weather is good we have enjoyed sitting in the lovely large garden. When it has been bad there are books, DVDs and TV to entertain us. We use it as a comfy base to go out cycling and walking from, as well as visiting the coast and bird-watching sites (there is plenty of literature on attractions so we are never bored and the owners will even loan out mountain bikes to use on the local roads and tracks). Overall it's very welcoming, comfortable and brilliant value for money!
