Sunshine cottage really is in the perfect location with miles of sandy beach just around the corner. The cottage is designed in a bungelow style, so the bedrooms & bathroom are all at ground floor level. The windows in the roof space are purely cosmetic.

"Sunshine Cottage" has been furnished to provide guests with complete home from home comfort with Quality sofa's, TV with Freeview channels & dvd player and a relaxing conservatory overlooking the tranquil private garden & Fishpond.

If you are a Pet owner, then you'll be pleased to hear that we have a large secure pet friendly garden that your furry friend will absolutely adore, not to mention the miles of beach walks and dog friendly cafe's and pubs on offer and all just a stones throw from Sunshine Cottage.

"Sunshine Cottage" is perfect for you and your pets, you can let the dogs off the lead and thoroughly enjoy watching them happily play in the garden from the conservatory whilst having complete peace of mind that they can't go missing due to the secure garden fencing and not 1 but 2 internal gates will ensure that even the most cheeky & daring of furry friends cant escape!

With lots of dog friendly cafes and restaurants, your dog is sure to have a great holiday and that's why we welcome well behaved dogs and love to see them enjoying their holiday as much as you.

This cottage is located close to dog friendly beaches, where they can explore the caves, dig up the sand, splash in the waves and meet new friends. And after all of that you and your dog can sit back and enjoy some food at one of the regions many dog friendly beachside restaurants; sounds like the perfect holiday to us!

The perfect place in which to relax after a day out on the beach or visiting local resorts. The larger vibrant resorts of Mablethorpe and Skegness are just seven miles away, and make sure you visit the seal and nature reserves of Gibraltar Point and Donna Nook. The pretty market towns of Alford and Louth are close by and offer craft markets and a wealth of history to uncover.

Take a short drive or bike ride from this cottage and you can be picnicking on the beautiful golden sandy beach or swimming in the sea at the quaint seaside village of Mablethorpe.

“Very comfortable holiday bungalow”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2019

We had a wonderful short stay at Sunshine cottage, wish it could have been longer. . . . . Very pretty bungalow and very well presented. Central to lots of gorgeous beaches which, off season, are open to dogs. ........ only 5 minutes walk from the beach at Sutton on Sea. The dogs had a wonderful time. Thanks x

Owner's reply: Hi Barbara, Thank you so much for your kind comments, We're delighted you and your pets enjoyed your stay at Sunshine Cottage and look forward to welcoming you back as valued guests again in the future. With kindest regards, Carl

“Lovely cottage but not warm enough for a winter let”

Reviewed 26 Feb 2018

Sunshine cottage is a very nice rental and is situated in a lovely quiet area and very close to the beach and just a few minutes to shops and ameanaties.this well equipped cottage is ideal for a family and is pet friendly with a fully enclosed rear garden.however I wouldn't recommend it for a winter let because it is only electric heating and is very expensive to run (Pre pay meter )we stayed for 8 weeks from January to March and it cost us £200 in electric and we only had the heaters in the lounge and large bedroom on. There wasn't any heating in the kitchen except when cooking and the bathroom was just an electric towel rack.we checked out 3 days early because we didn't want to put any more money on the electric and the oven had broken down5days earlier.so all in all my overall thoughts are yes I would stay here again but definately not in winter.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind comments, I'm pleased you and your family enjoyed your stay at Sunshine Cottage, The heating is fine and i have many guests who stay during the winter time, so i'm sorry if you found it a little cold at times. we choose the pay as you go elec meter method because its much fairer on those who wish to dine out etc, so if you stay in more then you will need more heating during this period, but its a simple standard meter and most guests are more than fine with this method and fairer all round. So we hope to have you stay again in the future.

“Lovely”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2018

We wanted a quiet Christmas away from the busy crowds and wanted a good quality cottage in a location convenient for exploring and evenings out. This cottage fitted the bill perfectly. On arrival we were greeted with a Christmas tree, tinsel and a few treats as a surprise by the owners, which was a nice touch. It is superbly decorated and provisioned, and was very clean, warm and well kept. The proximity to the centre of Sutton meant only a short walk to shops, pubs and restaurants. Equally, Sutton on sea offered a great base to explore the coastline and villages of this stunning part of the country. Will most definitely return.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your 5* review, It was a real pleasure having you stay and yes its a lovely place to be at Christmas time and we are so pleased you had a lovely time. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kindest regards Carl

We had a lovely holiday with our dogs will definitely be visiting again, a minor issue was dealt with very efficiently and professionally by Tony and Jan the housekeepers, thank you for making sure we had a relaxing holiday. Paul & Barbara

“Beautiful cottage in a great location”

Reviewed 4 Oct 2017

Spotlessly clean on arrival. Great for our two Labradors who had all the room they wanted to run around in. Very close to shops and the beach. The pay as you go electric meter is a great idea as we dined out most of the time in some of the very nice local restaurants in the village. All in all a very enjoyable stay and will be rebooking in the spring.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind comments, I'm pleased you and your family enjoyed their stay at Sunshine Cottage, We always try to make your stay as enjoyable as is possible and look forward to having you return as valued guests again in the future.

“Lovely cottage and great location”

We had never been to that part of the country before and realised what we had been missing! Sutton itself is a lovely wee place with lots of places to visit and although we went at a very cold time of the year the cottage was really cosy.Would love to go back in the summertime.

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to do a review of your stay, I'm pleased you had a lovely time and enjoyed the area and look forward to having you return as valued guests again in the future

“First class in every way”

Reviewed 2 Nov 2016

I am very hard to please. Just ask my friends and family. So was not expecting much from my first holiday on my own. It was amazing. The owners had thought of every thing. From supplying a washing line and pegs right down to thick fluffy towels and a bed you didn't want to get out of. OK I know you don't go on holiday to wash clothes. BUT if you have children, then the washer and clothes line was there for those wet dirty swim suits. There was tea, coffee, sugar and milk on arrival, so no need to rush out for a cuppa. It was clean, yet a little bit lived in to make you feel comfortable. The area was quiet, spotless and friendly. You could do lots or just nothing. Perfect. The main bonus is that in Sutton they LOVE dogs. It was fantastic to see dogs out and about with their owners, and the friendly atmosphere this created. My two small dogs loved it, I loved it and Yes, I am telling everyone. And everyone is surprised, as they know I do not give praise lightly. Well done to the owners and the cleaners. You are a major credit to the holidays industry.

Owner's reply: WoW! What can i say, Thank you for taking the time to do a thorough review of your stay and i'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay. I look forward to having you and your 2 pets as valued guests again in the future. Thank you

“Property very clean and tidy especially liked the conservatory”

Reviewed 23 May 2014

We would definitely stay at the property again. it is dog friendly with an enclosed back garden which our little dog loved, it is on a quiet residential road and close to the beach. Sutton on Sea is a very quiet place, but it was just what we wanted. we noticed that everywhere was lovely and clean too.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time in providing a review of your stay, We encourage feedback in order to keep our standards high and this will be of great help for future guests and a big thankyou to you for being such lovely guests, we hope to be of service to you again in the future.
