How about a visit to Horncastle with its many antique shops; or Louth, the Historic Capital of the Lincolnshire Wolds, both a half hour drive away. An hour's journey away you will find the Cathedral City of Lincoln with its shops, museums and eateries. Take a drive another day and you can visit historic Boston, the home of the Pilgrim Fathers' and the Boston Stump. Finally who can forget that Lincolnshire is 'Bomber County' and we are ideally placed to visit the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight based at Coningsby which is around 40 minutes drive away. The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby, is the home of the only other working Lancaster in the Country and is about 30 minutes drive away. All in all a holiday in The Stables offers you the choice of a relaxing rural retreat or a break packed with places to visit and things to do - the choice is yours. (We provide a Welcome Pack (details on request) prices include all linen and t-towels but we do not provide bath or hand towels.)

Location description from owner

The England region

The Stables is ideally situated for both the seaside towns of Sutton-on-Sea and Mablethorpe, as well as only a few miles from the Lincolnshire Wolds. There are a number of attractions in the area, such as the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby, several miniature railways, windmills, Batemans brewery, Horncastle - famous for its antiques shops, Louth's quaint town centre and churchs in nearly every town and village. Further afield there is Boston's famous Stump and Lincoln with its shops and museums.

Sutton-on-Sea

Hannah is a small peaceful hamlet located between Alford and Sutton-on-Sea. There is a small church, one of the few left with original box pews, and there are a few lanes for walking or cycling through the open countryside.

Alford is just a few miles further inland and features a selection of shops, banks, post office, antique shop and the Manor House Museum. There are several tea rooms and pubs that serve hot meals.

We are just 2 miles from the seaside village of Sutton-on-Sea with it miles of sandy beaches with beach huts that can be hired for the day or week. There is a childrens playing area with toddlers paddling pool.

“The shower let it down”

Reviewed 24 May 2017

Lovely place good location tad over priced shower let it down. Great owner made you very welcome , love to go back ,proberly want because of the shower

Owner's reply: Thanks for your review. We actually haven't put our prices up for three years. Regarding the shower: Its a normal shower tray with a normal shower door. The headroom is less than normal but we have had guests over 6' tall that have not had a problem. I suppose it depends on what you are used to and how long you want to spend in a shower.
